Should that not be 'vote *Scottish* Labour?

Why don't you use the party name that you put on ballot papers? After all, you've got a 'leader' and everything...http://www.scottishlabour.org.uk/people/entry/kezia-dugdale

Does it matter? the SNP insist on calling themselves The Scottish National Party and Scotland doesn't have a national party.

Why don't the SNP remove the word National from their name? Scotland does not have a 'National' party.

I think that you'll find that SNP members are quite happy with their party descriptor, so a bit of a non sequitur there. You, however, do not acknowledge Scotland as a nation, yet stand as a member of the *Scottish* Labour Party, which, as of last checking, had its own leader, as distinct from the UK Labour Party. Do you not think that this shows up some contradiction in your own attitude?

What happened Terry? Electorate finally come to their senses?

They might be happy supporting a party whose name is a fraud but that's normal for them.

In a very close election, what happened to the SNP landslide you people were bragging about?.

Very close, and the snp braggarts biting their nails.

The electorate came within a whisker of coming to their senses in a very close vote. No landslide for the snp then despite their bragging.

Stop squirming, what happened to the landslide you were predicting?.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Go and look at the results and stop hiding behind percentages, what happened to your predicted landslide?.

Unless the Corbyn nonsense is sorted and Smith is consigned to the history bin then its not going to get any better for Labour. In Irvine its took nearly 80% of Tory voters second preference for Labour to scrape Labour in on 6th count.....So close even the voters have difficulty deciding between them.

I doubt the council elections will be a landslide but Labour will come off very badly.

'No landslide'? you are talking treason now, you might get a visit from the men in the grey kilts.

I'm not sure if i am honest, depends how well organised the Tory/Labour STV business is. As we saw in Irvine, having the most 1st votes is not enough. I do think that there will still be a bloodbath for Labour. Especially given current polling, however Corbyn might be able to stop it becoming fatal. Issue is that Kezia has already backed Owen and she is 'Scottish' leader. Adding to confusion for voters.

I'd say that Kezia should go if Corbyn is elected, as should the one Labour MP in Scotland but for pragmatic reasons that may not pass. No real alternative in the former and probability of defeat in latter if it went to by-election. In any case he won't give up the position even if deselected by Local party(although that in itself might be a challenge as he is popular locally).

Interesting times....

Are you actually aware that Labour has 650,000 members and growing or have you just blanked that fact out? The biggest political party in Europe, with £50 Million in the bank because of new members and you think our position could become fatal. Do you actually want to be taken seriously?. If you were paying attention you would know that the SNP is in a mess.
