Hello, Good evening, welcome to nothing much said...

I've googled around for any sort of substance to your claims, and the only name that comes up when I question the Internat about these allegations is "Councillor Terry Kelly"...

Are you sure you're not publishing these findings from your own tiny mind?

Is there any chance of substance to your post, in the form of a link?

"FE Numbers in Scotland" will take you to the SG site which shows the figures on a diagram, get someone to explain it to you.

do labour ever ever tell a complete story. FFS this is like question time where lamentable stands up and asks a question only to be told to sit down and dont be stupit. Due to the savage cuts in the block grant (our begging bowl held out to westminster)and diverting funds to offset the bedroom tax imposed by a labour govt. scottish colleges can no longer afford to subsidise meaningless courses of less than ten hours duration, they have concentrated their funds and efforts on full time courses which get people jobs.

You must miss the old days when you could tell people any old crap.

FE and HE Students at Scotland’s Colleges
High Level Summary of Statistics Trend Last update: March 2014
Further and Higher Education Students at Scotland's Colleges

The number of full-time equivalent (FTE) students at Scotland’s colleges decreased by 1% between 2011-12 and 2012-13 (from 133,199 to 131,421).

A shift in study patterns is taking place within the college sector as colleges concentrate on full-time courses aimed at helping people gain employment and no longer fund short courses lasting less than 10 hours. Although the overall activity of colleges remains relatively stable, this change has led to a decline in part-time study and an increase in full-time study, which is reflected in college figures on an enrolment and headcount basis.

The number of students (headcount) studying at Scotland’s colleges was 238,805, a decrease of 7% (19,108) from 257,913 in 2011-12. Overall, there were 297,586 enrolments in Scotland’s colleges in 2012-13, where individuals can enrol on more than one course. This represents a decrease of 7% (23,060) from 320,646 in 2011-12.

Please note that these numbers refer to all students i.e. funded and non-funded students.

So you choose to defend the snp government. My facts are correct though aren't they?, over the past 3 years 108,531 FE students have been lost due to the incompetence of the snp Edinburgh government.
