RUGBY - THE WAY FORWARD - FACE TO THE SUN.

I'm receiving comments from all over Britain about my views on rugby, dozens of people have written, I've lost count, mostly hostile, only one or two sensible, some predictably unprintable, no prizes for guessing Henry Crun's in there.

Poor Henry, he writes as if he's back in the Townships wearing his SADF uniform where his word is law, I've been thinking about this surge of comments, does this mean that rugby players/fans in England are my readers ? all the comments are similar, coincidence ? none of them, that's right not one of them identifies themselves ? Rugby players are brave eh. Is it possible that all those rugby people all wrote in at the same time with the same sentiments and all ANONYMOUS ? what do you think ?

I think I detect the dead hand and thick head of 'Right for Scotland' here, he's done this type of thing before and even admitted it by gloating about how he kept me so busy by colluding with others, poor guy, you can't accuse him of subtlety can you ? I think he should start wearing a helmet when playing.

Here's a surprise, the rugby bosses are on my side, they have decided that the game is dire and in need of a revamp so they are looking at rule changes, I have a few suggestions, 1/ play with a ball. 2/ ban anyone who is over 25 stones. 3/ stop kicking into the crowd. 4/ force teams to run the ball 5/ introduce mixed sex teams, it needs toughening up. 6/ force the Springboks to 'black up' before the game. 7/ get the teams to gorge on beer before the game, or do they already do that ? 8/ play night games without flood lights 9/ make the players cover themselves in oil before starting 10/ ban the racist S.A. Springboks until they join the human race !

I'm not even asking for payment for these ideas.

I think you'll probably still count them as individual contributors when you gloat about the number of visitors you receive.

I find it increasingly difficult to believe that you are not a parody created by the Scottish Conservatives. Can you reassure me please?

I used to wear a scrum cap but it made my hair stink for the whole week. Now I just tape my ears back.

It takes a special kind of ignorance to accuse me of posting your comments to the 606 website when Mutt told you about it and even posted there under the same name.

See my previous post about Aussie and AB sour grapes and stop assuming that one faction speaks for the body of the kirk. I mean after all Wendy was quick to distance herself from you on Monday.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

IP - No answer then ? and no name either ? big feartie.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Rumbold - for goodness sake man you won't even give your name.

RfS said...

Terry, would it surprise you to know that you know my name already?

And what difference does it make?

[sarchasm]No Terry, you're right it's not possible. It's all a terrible right wing, zionist, elitist, racist rugby conspiracy.[/sarchasm]

Woooh! One little comment about rugby and I get another mention in one of your posts I'm honoured.

Tell me T, are you one oif those people that didin't buy SAfrican fruit during the Apartheid years?

Rumbold said...

My name,...

my name is Councillor Terry Kelly. Nooooo...

Anyway, I was only joking about the parody thing. Have you heard anything else about your run-in with the Americans? There are those of us ready to organise pro-Kelly rallies throughout the country.

All those anonymous comments all at the same time all saying the same thing, I'm OK with that.

Wendy again eh ? I don't expect Wendy to agree with everything I say. However it was nice of her to describe me as a hard working councillor, who has his own views, wasn't it.

Why are you so interested all of a sudden to know our names? You have all of our e-mail address already, so if you want to contact us, you can e-mail anyone.

PA - Still no name, what are scared of ?

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Henry Crun - Correct, and the fight continues still as long as your kind are around.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Rumbold - You will be first to know I can accept funds for my fighting fund if you want to help.

Jeezlousie!

Terry are you really as thick as you seem content to accuse me of being?

If a posters name is in blue and underlined that means?

It means they have a Blogger profile!

And you can look at it to find out more about them.

Go on take a look, I dare you!

Or are scared it will take away on of your stronger debating tools?

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Rumbold - every now and then I feel the urge to find out who I'm arguing with, I just can't understand why people remain anon. especially when some of them have such strong opinions.

Dear Mr Kelly,

I know this is off topic but I was interested to read your views on Che Guevara, which I found very stimulating.

Can I ask what you think of Stalin? He certainly made quite a splash!

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

PA - This is really strange you're not saying that you want to prevent me from finding out who you are, you are just refusing to tell me.

What a strange stance, I can only conclude that you are afraid of something, such strong opinions too, thank goodness you're not in the trenches with me.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Creator - Stalin was kind to children and animals so, that makes him an OK kind of guy right ?

The Creator said...

Wow! I didn't know that. Sounds kinda cool.

He was also responsible for the deaths of 43 million people (at least according to this website: www.hawaii.edu/powerkills/COM.ART.HTM)

On the whole, I am not sure this exactly qualifies him as 'an OK kind of guy'. Still, I know what you mean.

Can you tell me what you think of Eric Honneker, the former leader of the GDR. I understand he was a regular laugh-a-minute-kind of guy.

Very best

Henry Crun said...

HC: Tell me T, are you one oif those people that didin't buy SAfrican fruit during the Apartheid years?

TK: Henry Crun - Correct...

Don't blame you T, all them nasty black hands all over it

Henry Crun said...

"thank goodness you're not in the trenches with me."

I hope this was sarcasm. The very though of you "in the trenches" makes me laugh.

It wouldn't be the enemy you should be feared of, but a bullet from behind.

Henry Crun said...

"force the Springboks to 'black up' before the game"

Just like the old Black and White Minstrels Show in the 60's. Bet you loved that show

Instead of singing Nkosi Sikelele Afrika we could ask them to get down on one knee and sing old Al Jolson numbers.

Terry:

'The Economist' sort of agreed with you:

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Creator - Eric - Is hard to get to know, there was a campaign by the CIA and their Western poodles to discredit him and the GDR which was pretty successful, if you trust the CIA that is.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Henry Crun - many a true word Henry.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Henry Crun - Shooting someone in the back would be second nature to someone like you Henry.

Charles Kamau said...

Terry,

A friend sent me your blog. I think I agree with some of your comments.

Rugby is a bit boring in big tournaments but this year the games were much closer than normal - a good thing, I think.

On your suggestions.

1) Play with a ball. We do already - it is an oval ball though.

2) Ban anyone who is over 25 stones - again, there are very people over that weight in the game. The biggest props are around 18 or 19 stones, I think.

3) Stop kicking into the crowd - the problem, I think, wasn't kicking into the crowd (or kicking into touch for position) but rather the constant ding-dong between the full backs. I'm not sure how to solve this.

4) Force teams to run the ball - we aren't playing rugby league.

5) Introduce mixed sex teams, it needs toughening up - very good. This wouldn't be possible.

6) Force the Springboks to 'black up' before the game - I think this is offensive. Either you mean that we should have a more rigorous quota system, but it is difficult for young black's like me to play rugby because it is so exclusive. I love to watch though. I don't think making bad black players play will work though - because it will only lead to more resentment. If you mean that the white players should put some form of polish on their faces, I think you should reconsider your words.

7) Get the teams to gorge on beer before the game, or do they already do that? - Very funny. We drink afterwards.

8) Play night games without flood lights - I don't understand.

9) Make the players cover themselves in oil before starting - to help us avoid tackles?

10) Ban the racist S.A. Springboks until they join the human race ! - again, I find this offensive. As a black South African I am proud of the strides my country has made over the past years. We still have a long way to go but we are getting there. I am proud of our victory and was proud to see Matfield, Smit and Habana represent our Rainbow Nation.

Charles Kamau - What is the Bantu / Xhosa for taking the p--- ?

Henry Crun said...

"What is the Bantu"

Zonke falagile amalungu.

Again, you display your ignorance of Africa and its people by using the word Bantu. But then a Scotchman who has never travelled further than the dole office would not understand how offensive it is.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Henry Crun - Is it as offensive as Scotchman ?

I've never been on the dole but I'd rather suffer the dole than live as a parasite off people whose only crime is being black That's you Henry and the rest of you.

Henry Crun said...

've never been on the dole but I'd rather suffer the dole than live as a parasite off people whose only crime is being black"

That's rich coming from someone who masquerades as a town councillor leeching of the council taxpayers under the guise of work.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

HC - Even if that were true it would still be better than being a parasite who lives off etc.

Anonymous said...

Terry, you are an embarrassment to Scotland.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Anon - 'embarrassment ? ' Scotland doesn't need me to embarrass it.

Try "Alex Salmond for first minister" is that how politically sophisticated we are ? Salmond seems to think so.

Henry, Charles, this man is not in any way representantive of the attitudes of most Scottish people.

Terry go do some real constituency works in the council buildings instead of sitting on this blog 24/7.

And by the way seeing you enjoy slagging off Alec Salmond...(aye he's a muppet too) looking at your photo there I thought you were Alec's twin only difference is you have the proclaimers circa. 1980s specs on that well skelped arse face of yours.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Anon - Like most anonymous cowards you are sailing close to the wind here, how can you talk like this about someone and cower in your hiding place ?

As far as constituency work is concerned - I was elected for the third consecutive time in May and I won well ahead of the other candidates.

I will restrain myself and simply say, you are not the brightest I've come across are you ?

You seem to have an obsession with "outing people" who post annonymously on your site do you not?

Theres a simple solution. Set your blog so that only registered viewers can post on it. There you go, job done! You get to see whos who.

Kelly if I want to "out myself" I'll do it, via your surroundings in your council buildings. Look out for me!

"Not the brightest" and a "coward"? Can I join your club then?

ALEX said...

Terry,

You continually crow about being voted back in with a good majority, however, the fact is that in your constituency, a wheelie bin with the words "Labour Candidate" printed on it would win with a landslide majority and would probably do a far superior job.

It is a good thing that you seem to believe in yourself as I doubt that anyone else does. If you tried very hard you could eventually work youself up to the position of Village Idiot.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Anon - I would dearly like to know the identity of anyone who talks like you and hides themselves away, maybe it's a generation thing but I could never talk like that about someone unless I was looking them in the face, it's like making anonymous phone calls isn't it.

"Kelly if I want to "out myself" I'll do it, via your surroundings in your council buildings. Look out for me!"

I look forward to it but I won't hold my breath.

Donnie said...

Got to love your logic. You slag off numerous posters on youe blog but when someone says something to you, you fly into blue light mode. Into the hard man of Paisley image. Then again you just pick on people in the council chambers where you think you have people to back you up don't you?

By the way you keep talking of being voted back in, but Terry you could put a three legged dog up as a candidate in your ward, stick a red rossette on it and people would vote for it.

They aint voting for the person it's the party.
