8 weeks
to go, doesn’t time fly when you are enjoying yourself?, as ‘Gore Vidal’ the great American author and wit once
observed “it’s not enough to succeed, others must fail”. Following the conduct
of the snp/separatist/cybernats in the ‘laugharendum’ campaign I begin to see
what he meant. Approximately 3 years since the ‘laugharendum’ was announced and
the polls then showed a strong lead for the No campaign with the yes campaign
trailing badly and that’s exactly what we still have today. The snp have pulled
every underhand stunt imaginable from impersonating Labour members and claiming
they were voting yes to lying about having legal advice on Europe as well as the
whole ragbag of lies, innuendo and smears in between, and they are moving slower
than an arthritic horse pulling a coal cart. As soon as this farce started I
predicted that not only would the snp lose but that it would be brutal and ugly
and that was a good call.
The snp leaders and principally salmond have created
a monster over a couple of decades which is now out of their control, this was
done on the back of one main thing, hatred of the English, the snp
propagandists made sure that every grievance, real or imagined was laid at the
door of the hated English. Hatred is a very strong emotion and the more lies
and innuendo the snp leaders fed the moronic elements in their party the harder
it became to control them, hence the emergence of the odious ‘cybernats’. They
have shot every messenger who disagreed with them no matter how polite and
eminent they were and the people have been saying ‘surely they can’t all be
wrong’?. Do they really want us to believe that there is a powerful world wide
conspiracy against the snp?, how is that possible?. International figures like
the American President, Nobel laureates, The Pope! Etc. etc. all out to get wee
Eck and the snp, it doesn’t stack up does it?.
The frustration continues to build among the snp
supporters as the realisation dawns on them that they are going to lose, there is
going to be a reckoning among their own members. The genuine ethnic
nationalists as I call them have collectively bitten their tongues because
salmond managed to convince them that they could win. They put aside their wild
ways and pretended to be civilised, the better not to scare the horses, and now
they are beginning to see that the “traitors” like salmond, Sturgeon, Swinney
and Russell have conned them with their lukewarm fettered version of
nationalism, the Queen, Sterling, Shipbuilding, Borders, Passports etc. everyone
a dagger to the heart of those who see themselves as ‘bravehearts’ in the mould
of Mel Gibson.
I regard this blog as something of a barometer of how
the snp supporters are reacting to events, I have always received abuse and
indeed threats from the knuckle draggers in the nationalist ranks but I can
tell you that the amount of posts which I now have to bin because they are so
bad that I couldn’t print them is becoming a flood, a sign of growing anger and
disillusionment, they are not happy. Another example is The Glasgow Herald
comments site which I regularly write to. I am used to receiving counter posts
from the snp and some are sometimes deleted because the site ‘moderators’ judge
them to be out of order, the number of deleted posts sent to oppose my comments
has been increasing and is now like a torrent. This suggests to me that some
snp people are not coping with the direction of the campaign which they now
have to admit is moving away from them. Be warned, these people are not the
type to engage in reasoned debate, I advise giving them a wide berth and I also
hope the authorities are abreast of what is brewing, some sore losers go home
to their beds but this lot are not likely to do that, it will be a dangerous
time for the victorious No voters.

This a reply from an snp moron to a post of mine which was approximately 850 words and they wonder why they are losing.

"awe wee Terry, i'll say a wee prayer for you, son."
And yet another reply from an snp clown, they are using all their big guns on me.
Terry,
although I understand your view I don't think you do yourself any favours by using terms like cybernats, separatist, laugherendum (the vote on Sept 18 is far too important to ridicule it in such a description). I agree with you that hatred is a very and strong emotion and should play no part in a mature debate about the future of Scotland so maybe you should try to moderate your obvious hatred of the SNP, Alec Salmond & Nicola Sturgeon - ken?

I appreciate your concern but over the years I have developed a policy of not believing anything said to me by anyone who hides behind anonymity. As far as my use of words are concerned cybernat and separatist are in common use and I did not introduce them 'laugharendum ' is mine and it I only started using when it became impossible to take the 'laugharendun' seriously.
any more.
"the vote on Sept 18 is far too important to ridicule it in such a description"
It's not important enough to prevent a collapse of the 'laugharendum' if Coronation St. were to be put in jeopardy by a yes vote.
Think you will find that Coronation Street is broadcast by ITV and therefore is not threatened by the possibility of a Yes vote.
Sums up your grasp of the real issues in this debate Councillor.

Good morning Bozo, you need to smarten up a bit. I didn't say Coronation Street was threatened I said "if" it was threatened and I am right. Would it make it easier for you to grasp if I used Eastenders and Strictly Come Dancing? If they were threatened?, see that word "if" again. These soaps and variety shows are far more important to the people of Scotland than independence, it's true, hard to take, but true.

You're stuttering Councillor! Also arrogant of you to opine that soap operas and variety shows are more important to people than the referendum. You do these people a disservice, like the rest of your Tory, UKIP, Orange Order cohorts in BT.

I have made these comments about popular TV shows before and when I do there is always someone who tries to deflect the point by saying Scotland could access these shows elsewhere, they do that and the snp have done it as well because they know I am right.
I'm not stuttering but I am in danger of succumbing to the twin dangers of apathy and complacency and I blame people like you for that, you don't present any challenge.
Having read your blog for a while now it would appear that you blame anybody for anything, other than yourself and your party, and take no responsibility for anything negative. Just a typical politician with the exception that you are significantly less intelligent. Apathy and complacency are attributes that you could aspire to instead of the venomous hatred and bile that you currently bathe in.

How could you say that?, that is really terrible, you have hurt my feelings. I feel really bad now.
Cllr, do you endorsement views of your fellow Paisley labourite Ian Smart?

"Cllr, do you endorsement views of your fellow Paisley labourite Ian Smart?"
"endorsement his views"?. Don't be daft, he's a St. Mirren fan.
Hey Terry, me too on the Herald, so so many posts get deleted as I just get ignorant, vitriolic abuse for having the temerity to not want to ruin my country!
Good article, keep up the good work.
Martin Brooks
St.Mirren fan? At least he has one redeeming feature. Maybe Lord McConnell or one of his other senior labour (scottish branch) friends could have a word about his racist tweets.

Ian has a sharp mind and a sharp tongue. He tends to target his assaults on the racism that exists in the snp, The tories and UKIP etc. I salute him for it.
so now you're endorsing the racist tweets of a fellow labour party member. Oh dear

I have never endorsed racism or racists, do you think I'm in the snp or something?.
