Poor Wee eck,
as the old second rate Ayrshire plagiarist once said “the best laid schemes o mice
and men gang aft agley”. His Bannockburn scam crashed and
burned, the flames could be seen for miles when someone decided to set fire to
the unsold tickets and the red arrows turned up along the road a bit to rain
further on his parade. The travelling tartan circus to the golf in America (accompanied
by his private pianist) and the London Olympics brought nothing but scorn, the
Scandal of the unpaid for ‘Tartan Breeks’ brought shame as well, it is a
certainty that someone will commit it to song, if only Matt McGinn were still
with us. The bogus legal advice on Europe, oh the horror, the horror, oh the
polls, the polls, and so it goes.
Mr. Gunn, wee Eck’s minder shot his own toe off and Alex
Neil, well Alex Neil, what can you say?. Health minister saves hospitals in his
own constituency, caught by the smoking emails and spared by wee Eck as the whole
squalid farce started to shake and spin. Then the cybernats, the key board wielding
tough nuts, and now the bullying threats by the snp ministers to get industry
to toe the line, shut it or else says Angus Robertson snp MP was there ever a
more laughable bully than this guy?, still he has powerful friends and he knows
where you stay right.
My favourite blunder however and there have been many was
the ‘shakedown’ to grab the votes of the youngsters granted the vote by salmond beaming on them
with kindness from one eye and calculation beaming from the other eye. This
morning’s news reveals that the young voters saw through him like he was ‘Mr. Cellophane’
and the most embarrassing results look likely to be in salmond’s own backyard. High schools in
Aberdeenshire where 11.500 young people were polled it came out NO 75% and YES
25%. Schools in Morayshire, NO 71% YES 29%. 72% NO and 28% YES following a
hustings at Eastbank Academy in Glasgow, all universities who have held polls
including Glasgows three have recorded big wins for the NO campaign. FM salmond
has allowed his hubris to get the better of him yet again as he assumed the
young people would be so naive as to vote for his snp pie in the sky schemes.
Not long to go and still time for No voters and people with
English accents to invest in shutters for their windows.

Can I just be the first to say that I am embarassed to be considered of the same nationality as you Terry.
What on earth happens to people to hate their own so much and revel in their belittlement?
I'm, I think, classed as an undecided on the referendum issue and despite being of open mind your last two articles Terry have left me gobsmacked. The hate you have for your own is palpable.
How on earth do you think such articles further your cause? I only looked on here as it was linked elsewhere and if this is an example of the wisdom of Labour and Better Together in general God help us.
Was the 700th anniversary of Bannockburn used for political ends? Obviously. Was the 7th Armed Forced Day organised to drown out the 700th? Definitely.
To wilfully discredit though, the celebration of something that was a story of thousands dying, resisting a murderous invader, despite the odds, is shameful Terry. You're letting your politics shape your behaviour in a negative, almost destructive way.
If I vote Yes it won't be because of past history or Alex Salmond. If I vote No it won't be for past history or my hate for Alex salmond. It'll be based on what option I believe will further the interests of my children and their children thereafter.
Your blog has done absolutely nothing to convince me you have their interests at heart. The only thing I am convinced of thus far is that those who covet my vote are the very last people I should vote for.

JamesS
no wonder you talk big you have the orange order and the uvf behind you.

That comment might have some impact if you had guts to identify yourself.
I have never met or indeed knowingly spoken to anyone connected with the UVF and I believe that any legal organisation has the right to march if they follow the correct procedures. Those like you who would deny them that right are wannabee Nazis and fascists, the lowest of the low.

“Can I just be the first to say that I am embarrassed to be considered of the same nationality as you Terry.”
The feeling is mutual Mr./Ms. Whatever your name is.
I don’t hate my own or belittle them because I don’t consider Scots. or indeed anyone else to be my “own” I consider all the people of the planet to be my own.
“I'm, I think, classed as an undecided on the referendum”
Me to Mr./Ms. Whatever your name is.
“if this is an example of the wisdom of Labour and Better Together”
I speak for myself on my blog, no one else, if you had bothered to read the blog you would know that.
“To wilfully discredit though, the celebration of something that was a story of thousands dying, resisting a murderous invader, despite the odds, is shameful Terry”.
You might think that but you would be wrong, I discredited the celebration which was a poorly supported shambles and salmond’s puerile attempt to gather votes by having the referendum coincide with the 700 year anniversary of the battle. Bannockburn means nothing to me but that does not mean I would denigrate those who fought there and made sacrifices, rather like today those involved should have been fighting against their own Scottish nobles and barons who were exploiting them, not the English whose soldiers should have been doing the same to their ruling classes. Some people have learned nothing over those last 700 years and you sound like one of them.
"The only thing I am convinced of thus far is that those who covet my vote are the very last people I should vote for"
There is only a No vote or a Yes vote and both covet your vote so you must abstain then, you haven't thought this out have you?.
James S has missed the point hasn't he tel, we dont need the undecideds to vote now, we just have to get the british nationalist tribe to make sure they turn out and vote.
We know we can rely on the morons at BNP and the orange order we just need to make sure we keep the pensioners and the feeble minded frightened enough that they wouldn't dare vote for something that might push us away from the trough.
come on the naw you canny mob we've nearly got this won.
that was a non party political broadcast for bitter together, sponsored by anybody with money. toodle pip.
Ive seen the pictures of the armed forces day event,it was free and under 5000 turned up,the bannockburn commeroration was paid for and had more than twice that number turned up.I found the link to this blog in the comedy section of wings over scotland but i do believe you are serious lol,my advice to you would be to get a bit of good green and smoke it an try and relax or find yourself a decent woman and see if she could take away your obvious deep seated bitterness as after all life is too short to hate as badly as you do.

We have been through the arrogant bluster phase, then the bullying and lying phase and now we are in the bitter, ugly and misery phase. All that's left to come is the reprisal and internecine warfare and revenge phase where you morons start in on each other, that will start on Sept. 19th. And still you can't even identify yourself, your lack of courage meant you never stood a chance.

"life is too short to hate as badly as you do"
You are about to see hatred which will surpass anything you have seen before. You moronic cretins are about to put on a show of evil revenge against each other that will be hilarious and brutal by turns and it is due to begin on Sept. 18th.
One by one, Labour men and women with the courage of their convictions appear in the media stepping over no man’s land to join the swelling ranks of the true progressives openly and proudly campaigning for no more welfare cuts, full employment rights, no redundancies, universal benefits, re-industrialisation and social justice.
Always the same question – what happened to their Labour Party? When the people take to the streets to demand change why is their side absent, devoid of mass support and instead shoulder-to-shoulder with the CBI, UKIP and the BNP? Why is their party working hand-in-glove with Tories and taking the unearned income from Tory donors? Why would the British elite in their banks and country estates be so passionate about retaining a political system which punishes the workless, the female, the single parent and the disabled? How does it work out that the interests of the very people Labour despise are now aligned with those of the Scottish working class?
When can we expect you Terry, I'll put the kettle on.
The former Chairman of the Scottish Labour Party has condemned his party's defence of Tory pension and welfare plans.
Bob Thomson, who has been a member of Labour for more than fifty years, described comments from Margaret Curran as "meaningless and wrong" after the Labour MP claimed independence would leave Scots poorer.
getting lonely out there on your own Terry come on in and have a cuppa, no hard feelings and all that, Just leave the sash outside but if you don't mind.
"You moronic cretins are about to put on a show of evil revenge against each other that will be hilarious and brutal by turns and it is due to begin on Sept. 18th."
look I know I wind you up sometimes and banter is banter, but you seriously need help pal, you're going to end up in a clocktower shooting people.
Dear Cllr Kelly,
You have a cheek to call yourself a socialist and claim to be against discrimination. Leaving the Better Together thing aside for a moment (something you should try some time, you weren't elected to make laboured, overused gags about Alex Salmond), a quick look on the site shows the following;
You repeatedly show your disapproval of male sportsmen's abilities by claiming them to be women. The traditional playground taunt of 'haha, well you're a wummin but' is hardly the epitome of antimysogninistic practice.
Your use of 'teuchtars' to describe the SNP. That term has long been used as a derogatory term towards Highlanders and Western Islanders in Scotland, a group who were subjected to similar vicious stereotyping, and portrayal as suspicious, backward, ignorant foreign 'others' as the Irish community when they moved to the Scottish lowlands, by lowlanders who felt superior in their 'Britishness'. This is all in scores of historical primary sources if you care to look it up, the Watt Library, Greenock, and the Mitchell in Glasgow are good places near you to start. Trying to characterise your opponents as beneath you with the same sort of dehumanising language that has long been used to put down a community that were the victims of an ethnic cleansing, and much neglect and apathy since, is hardly socialist behaviour.
Your refusal to accept the existance of poverty in this country, and your sneering denial of what, if you actually had a care for your fellow human being, should have been obvious long ago, that people in your constituency, and elsewhere in the UK, are being reduced to malnourishment and being forced to rely on foodbanks, is beyond insulting. The fact that our despicable UK government has stood by those who caused this recession, and actively tormented and abused the millions of impoverished people it has created, motivates real socialists and humanitarians to do something about it, frequently as volunteers, happily ending up out of pocket if they can do some good. Meanwhile, you, a paid representative of the people, denies there's a problem and literally goes back to sleep on the job, by your own description. Well done councillor.
There are other points I could make, but I'm frankly not sure why I'm even wasting this much time talking to you. I honestly don't care whether you vote yes or no in September. On the other hand, if you honestly want to consider yourself a socialist, and a person against discrimination, you need to look yourself in the mirror, make some changes, and start acting like one.

Not long to go now until we see the culmination of a 3 year campaign of snp lies and stunts get it's just deserts when the people of Scotland humiliate them. Wee Eck has been sleeping with his suitcase packed and ready to go stacked under his bed. When the snp/separatist/cybernat ship goes down he will be the first rat to abandon ship.
Anonymous said...Thursday, July 10, 2014 11:03:00 am
Bob Thomson is a nonentity and it's typical of how desperate the snp have become that they are using him, no one has taken him seriously for decades.
Anonymous said...Thursday, July 10, 2014 2:02:00 pm.
Thursday, July 10, 2014 2:02:00 pm The snp is polluted with nut cases and zealots, they have kept their mouths shut and followed salmond when he was telling them he would deliver freedom from the hated English. Even these morons are starting to realise that the game is up and there will be an ugly reckoning between the 'fundies' and the salmond lackies. I t should be pretty awful and hilarious.
Dear Ms. Campbell, it’s time to drop the pretence, put aside the synthetic rage and stop being so silly. I know what you are, you see I have seen your comments about me elsewhere and I know that you have no grounds for outrage, is it stupidity or just laziness?.
Do you really think that someone with a mouth on them like you has the right to criticise me or anyone else?. When I am dealing with the likes of you I can say what I want, safe in the knowledge that you have already said worse. As your tone becomes more strident and your language more abusive I know, that you know that humiliating defeat is coming your way on Sept. 18th. Anyone who is familiar with your comments and your extremism must like me be wondering what you are going to be saying in a few more weeks.

'Wee 'Eck, the Spiv, Baldrick' and that's just the First Minister, before you even start on HM and the Royals. And yet, you're still free to promenade down Renfrew High St without having your collar felt...makes me realise what a wonderful country this is.
Ok, it could be better, but it's still pretty damn good.
That being the case, why do you support regimes where expressing similar sentiments about leaders would give you squatters rights in Solzhenitsyn's old cell?
Or does freedom of speech, freedom to strike and freedom to march only last til your lunatics are running the country?
Oh dear Terry, where is your Labour Party of the people now when your leader condemns workers for striking for better pay and conditions.
Time for a big change me thinks, and here in Scotland we have that chance to make a break from policies and politicians that have no relevance to us, and perhaps more importantly cause damage hurt and distress to people.
Your British Labour Party is never going to be a caring party for the poor, ill, disabled, elderly - or any other folk that we thought a socialist government should care about.
And no, it is not a vote for the SNP, as a general election will take place in Scotland in 2016 I believe. Time then to vote for your newly principled Scottish Labour Party - if they stand up to the mark.
Best wishes,
Mo from Limecraigs xx
Terry are u mad?
Dear Cllr Kelly,
In fact my response was neither synthetic nor rage. As a matter of fact I do think I have a right to criticise you.
While some of us are out trying to help people in our spare time, regardless of their political background, social class and whatever else, (and before you start that has nothing to do with either the yes or no campaign, for my sins I've hung out with party political types like you in the past, and I have no intention of doing so again.) you refuse to accept that poverty exists and throw a tantrum when someone points to evidence it does. I hardly think someone who carries on as you do is in any position to criticise anyone's use of language, given your response to the foodbank comment, your completely unjustified accusations of fascism, your mysoginistic comments, your outright elitism in your reply to me ("the likes of you", yes I realise it's dreadful that I'm not only female, but clearly an awful pleb, unlike you and your sophisticated, upper middle class, white, male pals living the good life while your constituents queue at the foodbank.) and various other examples.
I do rather like your swivel eyed 'I know what you are!' remark though. What am I, a space lizard? Illuminati? CIA? In all seriousness, if you've worked out 'what I am' well done you, because it took me long enough to work that one out! Rest assured it isn't an SNP member, I find most of them about as tiresome as I do you.
I'm also charmed by the concept of me as an extremist, although compared to you most things probably are comrade. As for what I'm supposedly going to say in a few weeks (got your crystal ball out or something, even I don't know that yet!), the remarkable thing is, it could be literally anything I want to. I realise it's difficult for someone who's a proud member of our proud, Britannic Ruling Classes to remember, but shockingly, thse days even women, LGBT people, the disabled, and a variety of other sorts you wouldn't have at your dinner parties are allowed to speak their mind, even when it means criticising straight, white, middle aged men. I know that's a bit of a blow, your fellow faux-socialists Galloway and Sheridan still haven't got over that shock either. But that's the topsy turvy world we live in. So on what I might or might not say in a few weeks time, I honestly have no idea yet. I could probably take a good guess at what you'll be saying right enough, presumably exactly the same sort of reactionary bile as you are now, every time an uppity pleb, minority, or, shock horror, a woman by jingo, dares criticise you. Seeing as your so interested, and know all about me, you can update your readers on what I say when the time comes.
Best Wishes,
Catriona Campbell
Uppity Woman, and Transgender Bisexual to boot. (What would Engels/Cecil Rhodes have said?!)
Hi again Councillor,
Just thought I'd better add that when you update the world on my every utterance in a few weeks time (I warn you, most of them aren't that interesting though, lots of saying good morning to people in corridors etc.), it'll have to be via your crystal ball. I get the impression there's no point debating with you on this site, in any case it just reminds me of my days in the SSP (not the SNP I must point out, I'd hate there to be any misunderstanding.) and they were very dull. The days, not the people, although some of them might have been as well. So I shall, in future, be sadly absent from your emporium of intellectual debate. It'll be a wrench, I know, but it's best for the both of us.
Yours somethingely,
Catriona Campbell

Hi again Ms. Campbell.
"I get the impression there's no point debating with you on this site"
If this is all you have to offer then you are correct, that's a nice line in arrogance you have but a poor line in honesty.
"In fact my response was neither synthetic nor rage"
Your responses so far have been completely pathetic.
"for my sins I've hung out with party political types like you in the past"
No you haven't, that's why you are getting your arse kicked now.
"("the likes of you", yes I realise it's dreadful that I'm not only female, but clearly an awful pleb"
Don't flatter yourself, I'm not interested in what you are I'm interested in what you say.
"I do rather like your swivel eyed 'I know what you are!' remark though. What am I"
A liar.
"I'm also charmed by the concept " etc.
From here on down to Cecil Rhodes it's pathetic pleading to be taken seriously, put it down to experience.

“when your leader condemns workers for striking for better pay and conditions”
I missed that, it sounds like something a Murdoch journalist might say, I have never condemned workers for striking for better pay and conditions and if that was the policy of the party I am a member of I would not stay in it.
I’m afraid that the rest of your post has been addressed by me many times already, suffice to say I only know one Mo from Limecraigs and you don’t sound like her at all.

I have already blown this bulldung out of the water many times, you must try harder.

But your explanation bears repeating, for two reasons, Councillor.
Firstly, you have perhaps acquired new readers and secondly, I never tire of tripe. So, please, enlighten any newbies and, as one of your regulars, humour me.
