THE SNP MOB

On Sunday evening we got a glance of what life would be like under nationalism and Alex Salmond 'we saw the future and it smirks' ( apologies to Bert. Russell ) This is a man who is difficult to like, this man can strut while seated. snide comments and sarcastic laughter are his debating tools and the whole package oozes arrogance, not a pretty sight.

The SNP would have us believe that they are very confident, cocky even, why is it then that they still find it necessary to orchestrate applause for Alex Salmond's every word and heckling for Jack McConnell, the cack handed way this was done on Sunday had everyone cringing with embarrassment, except of course Salmond who is immune to insult he is impervious to everything but blows, the king of the brass necks. Each time the camera showed the audience clapping it was the same people doing it, with two demented looking gnats actually heckling McConnell highlighting very poor chairmanship.

Incidentally one of the 'poles' which didn't get much publicity was Ladbroke's and William Hill's who both have Labour as favourites to win the most Holyrood seats, how often do they get it wrong ?

Hi Terry,

Ladbrokes have now got Alex Salmond as favourite to be next First Minister-even the bookies can't save you!

Any thoughts on Glasgow Councillor Gaille McCann's defection to the NHS First party?

Tony Blair anyone?

...why is it then that they still find it necessary to orchestrate...

To differentiate themselves from the current Labour administration, perhaps?

RightForScotland said...

Are the polish allowed to vote in the Holyrood elections though? If not then their opinions don't really count do they.

Surreptitious Evil said...

Terry,

Any comment on Gaille McCann's abrupt switch of allegiance quite so close to the election?

Yes, Alex smirks hideously but he still manages to look more believable than our next PM.

Are you sure that no Labour supporter has ever heckled an unpopular leader of another party?

claire - people leave political parties for all kind of reasons, some times they are not entirely noble.

Thwarted ambition is quite a normal reason.

In this case I'm afraid she doesn't register.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

anon - orchestrated applause and planned heckling are pathetic and the SNP are the only ones who do it.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

jpj2 - you need to go and read what I said again.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

S E - See post at 11.26 am today.

I don't think he looks believable at all.

The SNP heckling is really pathetic and can't be compared with anyone else except perhaps by you and them.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

RFS - 'Polish Voters' their opinions do count whether they vote or not.

renfrewshire Council have an office dealing with the elections, they should be able to put you right.

I saw the thing about my family on your site, didn't your parents produce you ? do they admit that ? do they know what you get up to ? the thought of you having any influence on children makes me shudder.

"'Polish Voters' their opinions do count whether they vote or not."

Jesus wept Terry, you are beyond parody. Go back and proof read your own post. Then get a dicshunary oot and understand the joke

"I saw the thing about my family on your site, didn't your parents produce you ?"

They did, two public servants who instilled in me a sense of right and wrong, who brought me up a productive member of society. And I thank them all the time for that start.

"do they admit that ?"

I am the grandchild of a Govan ship builder. I was the first person in my extended family to earn a university degree, my brother was the second. You damned right they admit to that.

"do they know what you get up to ?"

Right at this moment? They are more worried about the Spanish river about to flood and ruin their Easter. In general? My mum reads your site and regularly calls me to let me know what a bang up job I am doing.

"the thought of you having any influence on children makes me shudder. "

Why?

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

RFS - Your public servant parents failed.

'Grandson of a Govan shipbuilder' Luxury '

If your parents really know and support what you get up to then you are a strange family indeed.

'Influence on children' ? You know why, would you like your daughter to read the filth and poison that you and your friends write when she is older ? I wouldn't want any children to have anything to do with any of you and I doubt if your mother would either, if she knew the truth that is.

Do you send her all your stuff ? do you send her 'devil's kitchen's' stuff ?

Give me her contact address and I'll send her some of the stuff I've saved then I'll believe you.

Just think if your grand-daddy had been a Govan butcher, what a complete right wing twat you might have become ;-)

RightForScotland said...

"RFS - Your public servant parents failed."

Just because you say it does not make it true. I personally believe that you failed in raising Rayleen because of the way she has turned out. These two statements are no more true than each other.

"'Grandson of a Govan shipbuilder' Luxury '"

Ah, a Python reference. Are you saying then that a person's roots are irrelevant? If so then why have we been told about what your dad thought and believed in? Surely that is irrelevant? Or maybe understanding him allows us to understand you.

I think the point you are ignoring is that my parents had ambition for me and while I may not have lived up to my full potential I have fulfilled what I think what should be every parents first priority: that your children improve their lives beyond yours. My mum worked a better job than my Grandad and I work a better job than my mum. I hope that the pup one day cures socialism or cancer or indeed both. If we were in America it would be called the American Dream. In this country it is the object of decision by people who cannot even spell a socialist mantra on their banner correctly.

"If your parents really know and support what you get up to then you are a strange family indeed."

Then I guess we are strange.

My mum does read DK occasionally. Again you are mixing up your reactionaries. I have no control over DK's content so it does not reflect on me at all.

"Give me her contact address and I'll send her some of the stuff I've saved then I'll believe you."

You want her to read it? Post links to it from your site. send the links to me and I will forward them on. But yet again we have you asking me to facilitate your stalking of my family.

You assume that my parents think like you? On what do you base this?

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

RFS - I'll take this as yet another long convoluted, squirming no shall I ?

Alec Salmond - Smug
The SNP - A Bit Ranty

You're not being your controversial self at the moment - please can you say something stupid and ignorant, then back it up 'till you're blue in the face.

I like your blog much more when you do that. I shall have to stop linking you if you carry on being this dull and uninspired.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Jackart - "Dull and uninspired" I read your blog some months ago and read it once more then gave up on it.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

RFS - Who are you trying to convince ?

Kathryn Eyre (RWFD) said...

Can I take it I shouldn't use your blog as a discussion point in the Refugee Women's Framework For Dialogue again?

All comments were checked for bad language and unacceptable statements before being submitted. To deny refugee women a voice as you have is utterly shameful. Censor this as you like but today a roomful of refugee and asylum seeker women saw you for the perpetrator of racism you are.

I do not say you are a racist, just see that you have behaved like one today.

Souad said nothing wrong. Nothing that was unacceptable in normal political discourse but you censor her!

No wonder you hate Rosie Kane so much. You care nothing for refugees unless they are your political pawns. She might have an adgenda but she works damn hard for refugees. All you do is censor them and use them.

I too hope your family abroad are better treated than refugess in the UK; especially by you.

This post has been saved at Terry Watch. The whole internet will see your censorship

Jackart said...

You read my blog? Did your lips move when you did so?

RightForScotland said...

First class debating skills terry. How does your reaction to me differ from salmond?

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

RFS - For god's sake we all know how clever you are please try to say things clearly.

I'm fed up trying to unravel your comments it's invariably not worth the effort.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

I have made it plain before that I only delete comments which are abusive and not fit to print, I don't remember censuring anything by someone called Souad but I would be willing to read it again if she sent it back, if I'm not prepared to print it I promise you I will give an explanation.

You accuse me of denying refugee women a voice, that's not true and it shows you in an interesting light, I'm happy to get involved in dialogue with any of these women.

Did the roomful of refugee and asylum seeker women all decide that I was guilty or, did someone with their own political agenda decide to manipulate them ?

I regard Rosie Kane as an empty drum banging and her party as manipulative opportunists who don't give a damn about asylum seekers or refugees, I arrive at that conclusion from experience.

Perhaps you could tell us something about yourself and the RWFD, who set it up ? Who runs it etc. I've never heard of it and I'm interested.

So you read " TERRYWATCH " oops ! well well, that wasn't very subtle now was it ? I'm already beginning to fear the worst for any refugee or asylum seeker women that you have any contact with.

Kathryn Eyre said...

The RWFD was set up by a number of both Refugee and local volunteers in 2004 as a means of providing education about various aspects of Scottish Society as well as opportunities for an ofen isolated group of women to meet up.

We are presently self funding, though we have benefitted from the use of premises provided by a number of church and community organisations.

Your assertion that I manipulated a roomful of refugee woman is very interesting. Bear in mind that these are mainly highly education adults with minds of their own. Do you not credit them with the ability to think for themselves? These women are not anti-Labour per se, they have suffered at the hands of the present government which happens to be Loabour. Can you not see why they might be suspicious of you? Do you not think that witnessing dawn raids causes anger and distress?

Souad's comments were left in full view of the discussion group. There were no error messages and it was indicated that they had been saved. I believe that you ignored them because they didn't fit your adgenda.

As for your concern that I may pose a threat to refugees, let me assure that I have passed disclosure checks and there have never been any complaints about my conduct towards any group I have worked with. If you have evidence to the contrary lets hear it.

Finally I have sent you an information pack with further details about our organisation and what we do and invitation to attend one of our meeting to give a talk on the subject of your choice.

We are not a political or campaigning organisation but a discussion group. In the past few months we have discussed public transport and written to first bus with the groups points, the immigration system, womens rights, childcare provision, held a Burns night and several story telling events. So be as imaginative as you like when picking a subject.

kathryne eyre - you're not sounding nearly so aggresive now are you ?

I'll bet you are kicking yourself over the " Terrywatch " gaff aren't you, there's a stench of dishonesty and political opportunism coming from your comments.

See if you can find the courage to tell the truth and we will try to take it from there.

The Cynic said...

I find it somewhat amusing that Alex Salmond honestly thinks he is fit to be First Minister.

First he wants to be Leader then he gives up then he comes back again. Clearly this indicates the dearth of leadership material within the SNP - a view that Alex seems to endorse by taking back over the reins

A number of years back I e-mailed Salmond and asked him to condemn the rabble on Renfrewshire Council who go under the guise of the SNP Group. Meetings of the Council were regularly disrupted by their conduct and the Police had to be called in regularly. By his lack of response I can only surmise that he condoned (or colluded in)their behaviour.

Now the people of Scotland are being asked to vote SNP so that Alex can become our First Minister. This is farcical given that until now he has been content to repose at Westminster rather than Holyrood.

Yes, Terry, sidestep. Not a particularly clever one, but several yards across. You made no attempt whatsoever to answer any point raised in the previous post. Simple insult is your debating tool. Well done. I've been trying to remove arseholes like you and the Great Leader from positions of power for a long time, If I am to succeed, it is only fitting that I acknowledge your part in all of it. You are semi-literate, stunningly incapable of making even the smallest point by dint of debate, and totally bereft of any moral values. I fully expect a reply along the lines that my opinion doesn't count, but then only yours and those of the Vicar of Albion do, eh?

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Jim - You sound like a real tough guy, is that the way you speak to people face to face or do you save it for blogging ?

If you weren't so dense you would see that Ms. Eyre gave the game away by her ref. To 'terrywatch' think really hard and you might see it.

Tough? Not quite sure I follow you there. You do seem a little obsessed with some perceived threat from me. I've had a litle look at my last post and I can't see any reference to toughness. Quite the opposite, in fact. I have challenged your ability to conduct reasoned debate, not your ability to fight. I think a glance at the report of one of your appearances at a Standards Commission tea party reassures us that you're a hard man.

As for the reference (or ref. for the hard of thinking) to Ms. Eyre and "Terrywatch", am I to assume, and this is a rhetorical question, that a mention of the above named blog invalidates automatically any argument put forward by anyone, that will save you a whole load of that..oh, what's it called?....that's it, thinking.

Since I would imagine pretty much everyone coming here is forced to visit Terrywatch at some point simply to relieve the ennui, you can now stop replying to anyone, go back to sleep and leave us guardians of the civilised world to our rest.

Jackart said...

I'm sure there are lots of sensible people who read "Terrywatch".

You're a fascinating study, Our Tez. It's just that, like a particularly gruesome crash involving a school bus and sunshine coach - your blog is a bit much for those of a sensitive disposition.

Terry watch is a lot more palatable. Hence Terrywatch gets the blogroll link, you get a link under "blogs by idiots"

Cllr Terry Kelly said...
