THE HERALD JOURNALISTS? THEY COULDN’T WRITE THE WORD F**K ON A STEAMED UP WINDOW.

My struggles to get printed by The Glasgow Herald's comments site despite having improved are still giving me grief. I replied to a post by my old 'friend' Paisley's own snp/Tory hybrid iain Lawson (more old than a friend of course) about an article written by the Herald journalist Iain Macwhirter, a man who makes Chic Young look like a cross between James Cameron and Alistair Cooke. It is quite difficult for me sometimes to get printed being anti snp and almost impossible if you criticise either Mr. Macwhirter or the other Herald cure for insomnia Ian bell who is guess what? He's a distant relative of the Irish revolutionary Marxist James Connolly, honestly. So being 'binned' again by them was not really a surprise, I have therefore decided to reprint my comments here, to make me feel better. n.b. For the sake of clarity, Iain is Macwhirter and iain is Lawson, I've no idea why.
The oil flowed south, Scots went on the dole ... no-one cared. Sunday 28 July 2013- iain Macwhirter.

It's the same bunch of words mixed up and recycled like so much fictitious refuse by Iain and iain again, they can't change them because they have nothing to change them with; hence their torpor and crushed demeanour. It was great fun for them when they could wind up the crazy Nat. rug chewers and grasp some counterfeit celebrity while doing so. Now it's gone too far, it's serious and they can't now prevent what they know is going to happen, this is where weakness leads. Hardly an article or a post from them now appears without bets being hedged and premature blame being apportioned; these two though will survive the carnage; don't worry about that; they will endure, they are not the type of fellows to go down with the ship. The people that they led to the top of the hill though? The expendables?. That will be another poignant story but Iain and iain will no doubt survive; with heavy hearts they will carry on. Iain will no doubt be taking notes right now, the better to assist with his best seller about the heroic defeat of the Scots. freedom fighters, his version of course.

What is wrong with being a relative of James Connolly? I would be very proud indeed to be be even slightly connected with such a brilliant, brave man.

I've been visiting this blog for some time now, and I would say that pretty much everyone would have this piece of advice for you regarding getting your comments published: you need to adopt a less aggressive writing style. I don't know to what extent it is intentional, but you come across as a bit of a troll/quite offensive.

If you believe in your convictions and what you are saying, then why not have the courage to write as you would wish to be spoken to?

I am the soul of discretion and friendliness. I do however retaliate when someone is offensive to me or tries to patronise me, if you know what I mean.

Nothing wrong with James Connolly, He is a hero. Ian bell however uses his tenuous connection to the great man to burnish his left wing credentials which are as far as I can see completely bogus.

Both MacWhirter and Bell, are of course, too intelligent and courteous to print such a bilious attack on anyone. Why do you have such trouble with criticising an opinion rather than the person who expresses it? Or do you genuinely believe that having the "wrong" opinion-i.e., one with which you disagree-makes someone a bad person?

I criticise the opinion and the person as far as MacWhirter and Bell are concerned because they are both lazy unprincipled hacks who don't really believe in anything but themselves and they really don't stand for anything either.

Parasites living off a lumpen gullible snp/separatist/cybernat readership in a decaying newspaper the are symptomatic of the Herald's decline.

Any truth in the rumour that Labour - the mighty protectors of education are about to several Renfrewshire schools.

Can't be true surely

Can I ask-do you know either of them well enough to condemn their characters? I don't particularly like the Herald, and its sales might be declining, but the latter is true of every newspaper. Admit it-the reason you dislike the Herald is that it prefers to print comments that appear at least semi-reasoned, thus bombing you out; and the reason you dislike MacWhirter and Bell is because not only do they have opinions that you don't like, but they're also too smart for you to challenge their beliefs with a semblance of any critical or analytical faculty-so you play the man instead. With your debating skills, Terence, I can see why you've gone as far in politics as you have. What I don't understand is why a man of your obvious charisma and gravitas isn't being allowed to play a more public role in the "Naw, it's too scary" campaign.

How does someone "several" a school Alan?

"Can I ask-do you know either of them well enough to condemn their characters?"

Can I ask, do you know me well enough to say these things about me? You are a clown based on this.

Alan said...

Excuse my mistake Terry.

Let me correct it so that you can answer properly.

Is it true that Labour are planning to close schools in Renfrewshire?

Simple yes or no would suffice.

A simple yes or no eh? I will do better than that because that's just the kind of guy I am Alan.

Let me direct you to the Renfrewshire Council web site where you will find the answer to that question and a lot more besides about what is happening in education. That's more fun isn't it?

Terry,
It obvious that you are embarrased as you did not answer the question.
Not a first for you.
Instead of redirecting me to a website can you answer the question.

Are the current Labour council planning to close any Renfrewshire schools?

can you answer this please or are you so embarrassed that you can't

Alan said...

Or could you direct me to the Renfrewshire Council web page that you refer to as I cannot find it and I think it may be a figment of your lucid imagination.

Do I know you well enough to comment on your gravitas and charisma? Probably not. All I can do is admire your gentle and good humoured nature, and your rapier-like debating skills, from afar. Has anyone ever told you you look just like Cary Grant?

Anonymous said...

No need to go to the website Alan.

It is true what you are saying.

Labour are planning to close 3 schools in Renfrewshire.

Quite unbelievable.

So much for protecting education Mr Kelly

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

You don't believe that Renfrewshire Council has it's own site? very clever aren't you? Google it and then go to 'minutes and Agendas' that's all I'm doing, do the rest yourself you lazy idiot.

I can of course answer the question but I'm enjoying watching you make a fool of yourself. The answer to your question is available to you and the general public on the Council's web site, go read it. Or you could attend the next education board meeting which is as always open to the public.

If you 'probably'don't know me that is not my fault is it? That is why I have nothing but contempt for you.I don't care who knows me or who wants to argue with me while you are too much of a coward to come out of hiding.
As far as looking like Cary Grant is concerned. you would not find it so funny if you had to go through life with matinee idol good looks like I have. Being so handsome can be a curse you know.

"Quite unbelievable"

Unbelievable indeed anonymous, you are afraid to ID yourself because of the ridicule that awaits you aren't you.

If what you are saying was true why are you not saying who you are? think of the glory for you. You are clearly a liar and a coward or put another you are snp.

Anonymous said...

There. Everyone who disagrees with Terry on the subject of Scotland's constitutional status is a liar and a coward. Again, I have to say that it's unbelievable that the North British branch of the Labour Party isn't using this man's intellect to reinforce the "Naw, it's easier if the English keep looking after us" campaign.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

I don't remember saying that. Let me make something clear for you though so you don't have to lie about it. Anyone who throws around insults and refuses to identify themselves is indeed a coward and you certainly fit that bill.

Running Man said...

Still all quiet on the Terry front in the Herald....maybe you should move to Woking

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Can you take off your red nose and big long boots for a second and explain what you mean?

Running Man said...

It requires an OBE or to be resident in England to get no moderation status on the Herald these days.

I suspect after your previous comments on the Royals an OBE is some distance away. The only option is to move down to Woking.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

I am not in the least interested where anyone comes from, I find those who care about such things stunted and needy.

Running Man said...

Off at a tangent there Terry....not sure where that comment came from...Who mentioned who was interested in what.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

I can't make it any simpler.

Running Man said...

How needy are those who create a blog to complain that no one listens to their comments on a dying newspaper ?

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Plenty of people listen to my comments in the Herald and this blog.
I do however object to being censored by the Herald, particularly when they print such crap from the separatist thugs.
