STURGEON AND THE SNP CAUGHT AGAIN IN THEIR 'TANGLED WEB OF DECEIT'

Kezia Dugdale tackled Nicola Sturgeon on Fracking at Holyrood and the exchange went like this. “Scottish Labour will BAN! fracking” Kezia Dugdale. “We have imposed a moratorium!” Nicola Sturgeon. This exchange was repeated several times with some inconsequential deviations, much to the obvious delight of Ms. Dugdale and the obvious humiliation and anger of Ms. Sturgeon. One of course is a BAN while the other is not a BAN, seems straight forward to me, how about you dear reader?.

All across the country SNP candidates are telling voters that there will be no fracking under the SNP, this is a lie just as their claims to abolish the council tax were also lies.

Generous man that I am I have provided an unchallengeable definition of these words from an impressive source for all you nationalists. Sturgeon and the SNP are refusing to BAN fracking, we have to ask why?.

Meanwhile the billionaires who are preparing to introduce it are boasting that they have been told at the highest level that the SNP are not! opposed to fracking and the SNP have chosen not to rebut that statement. It looks like the SNP have “sold the jerseys” taking the p**s out of their gullible followers again, is there any SNP people out there who will defend them? Here are the promised definitions.

Moratorium –
"A temporary prohibition of an activity" Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary.

Ban - "Officially or legally prohibit" Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary.

If you ban fracking it's open immediately to legal challenge because the UK government has authorised it's use specifically to create this situation and the result would be a court ruling to go ahead as per UK Government recommendations
A moratorium prevents fracking from ever taking place under the Scottish Governments land licensing powers
UK legislation is very clear on this, and I suspect those who shout loudest at the Scottish Government know it quite well

If there were ever to be Fracking in Scotland it would only happen IF the evidence showed it was safe to do so and certainly not while Scotland was a part of the Union so that once again Westminster steals all the revenue and squanders it like they did the oil

As far as cowardly evasion is concerned this post is a classic. The SNP are liars, they don't want an outright ban on fracking because they are in favour of it. They have never refuted the claims made by Jim Ratcliffe who with the help of Alex Salmond destroyed so many jobs at Grangemouth that the SNP are not opposed to fracking.

In reference to the first post, this is indeed correct UK Government legislation permits Fracking so the SNP use their power over land to prevent it, any outright ban immediately removes the Scottish Governments control which then reverts to UK legislative control and Fracking will be allowed by the courts

To deny this is a fact and simply use name calling as a defence for no argument whatsoever is pointless unless you produce evidence to the contrary
Produce your evidence of this lie by the SNP, If you can not, then you have no case

You make another claim about something which an individual (Jim Ratcliffe) you report as having said, again I say provide the evidence as opposed to the hearsay
Far from destroying jobs at Grangemouth The Former First Minister actually kept the plant open thereby preserving jobs, as did his intervention at Fergusons shipyard which is now a thriving and major employer on the Clyde and soon to be a world leader in it's field

Whilst I fully understand any political position of not supporting one party or another it does bring into question the methods employed in order to prove your position of which there are none

You mention "cowardly evasion" when in fact the poster presented facts where you presented insults which destroy any credibility you may have hoped to engender
and this is why normally no one ever engages with your Blog or replies to it
I have been polite and courteous in my reply

There is one reason and only one reason that the SNP have imposed a moratorium on fracking and that is because they want to introduce it. That is the reason that they have not refuted Jim Ratcliffe’s claim that he was told by the SNP that they were not opposed to it. If you do not know about Jim Ratcliffe’s claims then you are either a liar or a fool. Salmond’s intervention at Grangemouth was to tell the workers to surrender, he hates the trade unions, he gave Ineos the green light to get rid of 800 workers. How many jobs does this “Major employer” Fergusons provide?. This post is repetitive and if I get a third version of it you continue to repeat the first post I will not print it. My Blog attracts between 35 and 40,000 readers a year and the reason I don't get a lot of posts is because those SNP Zealots who used to post are fed up getting humiliated by me. As far as calling the previous post a "cowardly evasion" is concerned and calling the SNP liars is concerned, these are statements of fact.

Looking through this blog it seems to me that you spend an inordinate amount of time looking for anything that allows you to post a negative comment about the SNP. How do you ever find the time to represent the people who voted for you? Incidentally, do you have any positive reasons (you know, policies etc) why anyone should vote for your party? Please don't refer to past achievements like the NHS & the Welfare state but what solutions do you or your party have re the big issues like the economy, defence, immigration etc.

I do not spend an inordinate amount of time looking for things to criticise the SNP about, they supply us with a never ending conveyor belt of stories, every day brings a new scandal. If you want to know Labour's policies on the economy, defence, immigration etc, there is a revolutionary tool called Google, get someone to show you, just type in Labour Policy on the Economy, immigration etc. No don't thank me It's a pleasure to help educate someone who is clearly uninformed.

I am well acquainted with Google (other search engines are available). The only thing I could learn from you is how to be insulting and offensive.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

I was not insulting or offensive I was being sarcastic about your lies on Jim Ratcliife.

Terry

What is Labours case for banning fracking without determining the economic benefits to Scotland if fracking is carried out safely under strict regulation ?

Scotland's economy has included the exploitation of fossil fuels for over forty years with no complaint or ban threats from the labour party or any other london based parties for that matter. Why is fracking so fundimundily different.

You are not. Rene Descartes.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

The case for banning fracking is because it is dangerous and we want to protect the public. The SNP are more interested in profit than people’s safety hence the confident statement from Jim Ratcliffe that the SNP is not opposed to fracking, a statement that the SNP have never refuted.

Spot on whoever you are, I'm not Rene Descartes, I'm Terry Kelly, there's not much gets past you is there?.

the case for banning fracking is that it's dangerous. ha ha ha. how many died exploiting north sea oil and how many died fracking worldwide? crossing the road is dangerous do the labour party intend banning that as well ?

The SNP didn't dispute Ratcliffe's statement because it was true. The SNP do not oppose fracking, they are awaiting presentations of factual evidence before they make a decision, it's what grown ups do Terry. Assess, consider, decide.

Your dead party must be so proud of you, so very proud.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Are you afraid to debate without talking in riddles and hiding your identity?. That's a very feeble position, very SNP.

My dead party has more members than all other UK parties put together. You are trying to obfuscate here, whether Fracking is dangerous or not is not the point. The point is that the SNP once again lied to the people of Scotland, they met with Ratcliffe behind the people’s backs and told him that they were not opposed to Fracking and then refused to tell the people they had done that. The SNP have proved time and time again that they can’t be trusted. Only a liar or a fool would continue to believe them.
