"BLISS WAS IT IN THAT DAWN TO BE ALIVE, BUT TO BE YOUNG WAS VERY HEAVEN" - WORDSWORTH ON THE FRENCH REVOLUTION.

Who would have thought it. Here we are with a wonderful opportunity to elect a true "left wing" leader of the Labour Party. I have never met anyone or heard of anyone in the party who says 'I am a right winger' and everyone can make a case for their own type of Socialism but Jeremy Corbyn can not be described as anything other than a radical left winger, I am delighted with his position and campaigning for him to win.

There are many who are very much opposed to him for different reasons but I believe that there is an elephant in the room that these people are standing in. The most heard defence  put forward by many protecting their argument is that New Labour and particularly Tony Blair won 3 elections, this has stood for years as justification for where we are now, the truth is that because of where we are now is because those Blair years failed us long term, many of them sold their souls for power. The explosion of support and the sheer joy of the rank and file we are witnessing now for policies of the left are testament to that. We are within touching distance of bringing the party back to where it should always been, by the side of our own class, the workers, that language I know is laughed at by those among us who declare themselves "relaxed at more and more people becoming millionaires" but they are the ones who have done long term damage to the party, it's time to organize and get back on the attack. It is my fervent hope that by the time this is all settled we will see people like Scargill, Galloway, Hatton and Canavan and many more like them back where they belong, as members of the Labour Party.

For once i can agree with you!

I am still an SNP voter as independence, in my view, is the be all and end all.

Now if someone of Corbyn's character were to stand for Labour in an independent Scotland then i would vote for him.

We will never agree on Independence but what we can agree on is that Labour as an historic movement had taken a wrong turn in 97' with Blair. Lets make no mistake the Blairites are an affront to Labour values and thus an affront to a left leaning Scotland.

Now you and your peers must fight the Parliamentary Labour Party tooth and nail to drag your party to the left.

It is a welcome inclusion in a political landscape which desperately needs to have more Left Wing voices amongst the post 1979 neo-liberal acceptance.

If it were not for the tribal hatred indicative of the Labour party, towards the SNP then they may find themselves sharing a platform but alas, the hatred too deep and the emotions too strong. People such as yourself not only blame SNP voters but discredit them as stupid, ignorant or misinformed.

This is your party trying to react to the right wing narrative of the Blair era that you spend the last many years, defending, regardless of your own left leaning beliefs. Thus you prioritise party over policy.

If independence is the be all and end all for you, you have a very superficial undeveloped outlook on life. Labour did take a wrong turn in 97 but the SNP have never taken a right turn, they are an affront and a squalid embarrassment to the people of Scotland. You evidently do not grasp the revulsion I feel for those who peddle hatred like the SNP, my antipathy toward them is simply antipathy to nationalism, it is an immoral force, and it attracts thugs, racists and fascists to it, people who are only content when they have someone to hate. It is as Einstein said “a disease, the measles of the planet earth” and you and people like you are carriers. I wonder how many SNP members knew about the SNP’s Nazi, anti English anti Irish sectarian past which they still wallow in today before they joined?. How can anyone who knows the history find them touchable, how can anyone with any decency in them join such a mob?. Racism and fascism have been defeated before in far more powerful circumstances and will be again. People are better than such movements and that includes the people of Scotland.

"SNP never too a right turn"......currently sitting in Westminster with all but 3 Scottish MP's , a dream beyond imagination of any nationalist. Gained a majority in Holyrood when it was engineered not to be possible and currently polling at 62% for next years election.....

The people say otherwise Terry......
