DO YOU SUPPORT THE BEDROOM TAX?. "MIBBES AYE MIBBES NAW" SNP.

An extract from an SNP candidate selection.

“I was asked whether as part of a Westminster deal with another party, I would agree to vote for the bedroom tax if instructed by the party. I replied ‘No’.  End of SNP political career”.

Craig Murray – Rejected SNP Candidate.
There are a whole host of questions that a candidate can be asked to test their willingness to support party discipline, e.g. would you support hanging, would you support a ban on immigration, would you support forced labour for unemployed people, would you support the burning of books which were left wing, would you support the building of a 500 foot statue of Alex Salmond on the highest rampart of Edinburgh Castle, all questions which are pertinent to the snp most of whose members would be at best ambivalent  about their answers and at worst enthusiastic ‘yessers’ which of course makes them the party we have known and grown to loathe, but they chose “would you support the bedroom tax”.

Are the snp policy makers so completely thick-headed as to make themselves hostages to fortune by suggesting that a failure to support the bedroom tax would constitute a reason for rejecting someone as a candidate?, my answer to that is, no they are not. IMO therefore there is no way of denying that this has been asked to pave the way for just such a proposition. What they are saying is they will do and say anything to gain power, as I have said often before when you are a single issue politician you can excuse anything by saying ‘we did it for the great cause’ no matter what injustice you have perpetrated. It is becoming harder for the snp to avoid people seeing what they are really like, perhaps all those additional members will prove difficult to control when they start to realise exactly what they have signed up to. Things are beginning to look really interesting.

Lies about the oil, lies about the pound, lies about Europe, lies about the NHS and now it's lies about the Bedroom Tax, you are right to be angry Mr./Ms. Anonymous.

It's only a pound now to join your corrupt and rotting party, what a con. If you go to poundland there are three thousand better ways to spend a pound.

I love the smell of desperation in the morning.

I wonder why SNP popularity in Scotland has rocketed recently whilst Labour look set to lose a majority of their Scottish sets at the next election.

Is it because nobody trusts Labour anymore due to their right wing tendencies?

Sorry but you are no longer the party of the people Terry, You are just Tories in disguise with the exception that you have no intellect.

We have the...."Blue Tories" "Red Tories" "Yellow Tories" "Green Tories", add to that with an assortment of "Gold/Purple Tories".

Where are the socialists parties!, well, they joined the Tories!!!.

Cllr Terry Kelly, I am informed that...

"Sturgeon’s first print interview following her accession to the post of first minister, was with the Financial Times (FT), one of the world’s most influential pro-capitalist organs, and the authoritative journal of British finance capital. For Sturgeon to choose the FT is as clear a statement as could be imagined of her intentions."

Are you too stupid or too lazy to do the research?. You can now join for £1, in due course your subscription will become the same as others that is £45.50/year and £12/year concession. The snp subscription is £12/year and £5/year for concessions and you look rather silly do you not?.

Cllr Terry Kelly,

There is NO way the SNP would support keeping the "Bedroom tax", absolutely NO WAY, it will never happen.

There is NO way the SNP would go into coalition with the Tories, absolutely NO WAY, it will never happen.

Once upon a time....

There is NO way the SNP would join NATO, absolutely NO WAY, it will never happen.

What do we learn from the SNP...Never use the word "NEVER".

Local Housing allowance that was limiting on housing allowance for Private tenants was introduced by Labour.

The comments on the page you posted also say that.

Call it what you like but limitations on housing benefit based on your family size and bedrooms was firstly introduced by Labour.

Unlike the truth of Labour who say they are anti Nuclear weapons but who are committed to investing 100BN in new delivery system and warheads.. ...Hypocritical nonsense so they can play bolster their military credentials.

A weakness of most former Labour governments, sucking up to the establishment looking for a seat at the big table

I have never known or heard of any politician of any party who says they are pro nuclear weapons. It takes a pretty spectacular kind of idiot to claim otherwise and the snp has plenty of pretty spectacular idiots in it's ranks.

Terry, As regards Labour implementation of bedroom subsidy for Housing Allowance claimants.

You offer up an opinion piece. I offer up artcile stating when the actual law was changed by Labour. You obfuscate the issue as you well know. At least grow a pair and argue the facts or state a position. Do you support bedroom subsidy reductions for private renters...The legislation introduced by Labour.

As regards Nuclear weapons. Your stance is that of a man buying a Rin of Beef and saying he is vegetarian. He'll stop eating meat when the rest of the world does but he is really a vegetarian at heart.

At least we can say that 95 Labour MP's are against Nuclear weapons....Since they voted against Blair's renewal program in 2007. It was only passed due to support of your Tory friends. That wee coalition with the Blue Tories might come yet...So little between you and so much recent co-operation.

They could have asked him anything but they asked him the one about the bedroon tax. Their reaction to his answer is a clear and unequivocal admission that they are willing to consider keeping it if the price is right, it's just another lie and underhand position that they can justify by claiming they are doing it for the cause.

"Weak and simplistic in the extreme what an idiot you are"

Terry try saying this 100 times in front of a mirror every morning, it may help you to escape the delusions that Labour is still a socialist party.
It is now a political organisation working to benefit its members not its electorate. Maybe you can work out the difference for yourself, but I seriously doubt it.

Have you heard the news Terry. The tories are going to promise one more nurse than whatever jim smurfy promises, whats his next bid?

It is extremely sad to see a political party in its death throes opt for smurfy the blairite as its best hope for survival, could this be the final straw for you terry?

The manufactured row between him and Diane Abbott is hilarious, he gets to be all macho and stand up to ed minimal and she gets a shoe in as mayor of london. You guys need new spin doctors this nonsense is so 1990's.

You don't need a gun to protect yourself that's the job of the police, the trick is to make sure that the police are not actually worse than the gun toting criminals.

Guns and tanks and bombs are essentially the same they are designed to kill people and that is not good. We need international cooperation to rid the planet of all of them.

Seems like you aren't aware of the fact that MOST NATO countries don't have nuclear weapons on their soil.
There are others who benefit from their proximity to NATO nations yet don't contribute to it. This scenario would be fine though not really contributing to local security (though it's the neolib homeland that is perhaps the most dangerous world nation wrt exporting violence) but that is not what Scots want. Taking a role in world security is the responsible stance. Following the money like Labour golden balls Blair, isn't the line to take so you can keep your US economic imperialism for them since it was Labour who lied to everyone about WMDs and still went ahead with invading soverrign nations to impose US 'democratic' values on different cultures with superior literacy, social welfare and education programs to most (esp US) Western democracies even though the electorate were not in favour. NO thanks indeed, membership of a UNION here the majority of members don't have nuclear weapons does not mean you support them even though some have. Think Norway, Denmark, Italy, Canada, Spain, Portugal et al.

You're a Labservative (NeoLiberal Blairite) who;s fallen for the promise of gold from commercial enterprise at the expense of your soul (and the needs desires and wishes of the electorate)

The salient point here is that NATO is a first strike nuclear organisation and the snp want to join it, no matter how much you wriggle and obfuscate that is the truth, it is a betrayal and a sell out and a perfect example of the snp’s lack of honesty.

The so predictable and infantile foot stamping about WMD’s and invasions is pathetic, you can repeat yourself as often as you like and you can shout as loud as you like but that doesn't make you right and it remains only your opinion. Can you try something new, you are trying my patience.

I have explained before that the bedroom tax as envisaged by Labour was to prevent private landlords from exploiting the rent benefits system it was never designed to punish the poor that was the Tories who did that. Your posts are ridiculous and I am losing patience, it’s like arguing with a not very bright 10 year old who continually relies on insults and abuse, smarten up or you will be out.
