THE DUNDEE POLITICIAN V THE GLASGOW COMEDIAN.

Latest reports just in reveal that George Galloway has once again edged ahead in the epic battle between him and Frankie Boyle in their race to the bottom. Has Boyle run out of bile and spleen or can he dip once more in to the seemingly bottomless pit of malevolent lurid anecdotes and personal experiences which have sustained him over the years?

Can George though keep up the pressure, will his alleged legendary ability to get down and dirty when the chips are down see him triumph? Following George's latest sojourn in to the world of rape and dodgy sexual behaviour, he seems to be favourite. One can't help but admire his apparent expertise and wonder about the women he has known. Speculation is rife about whether George will name names in relation to those ex partners who may or may not have been given a rude awakening by him. I suppose when all is said and done that Frankie and Georgie might agree that they are after all only women right?

Who will win, the smooth debonair Glaswegian or the rough n tumble Dundee corner boy, have I got that right? Perhaps I should just say which bampot will win?

George Galloway, the man who took Bradford West on the back of a 36% swing from Labour.

Councillor, Labour should have kept that seat without breaking sweat.

Why didn't they?

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Bradford was I think the 6th or 7th by election of the parliament. The reason he let those before Bradford pass without challenge is also the reason he chose Bradford. Do some work.

I think Galloway's a chancer too, and his comments about Assange last week were vile. I bet if he was still a member of the Labour party you wouldn't have written this, though. But now he's left the tribe he's fair game, isn't he?

You seem to be suggesting that if someone, anyone, suggested that having sex with a person who did not consent to that sex would be OK by me if the perpetrator were a member of the Labour Party!

Have I understood you correctly?

Are you an snp supporter by any chance?

Kelly @ 5.32
Councillor, I dont know the reason Galloway let 6-7 By Elections pass before Bradford and neither do I know why he chose Bradford West.

Come on, be charitable,enlighten me.

Galloway enjoys a reputation as the defender of minorities and is held in high esteem by the Muslim community and various Arab, Iranian and Iraq communities etc. Most prominently the Palestinians who enjoy the support of the Arab and Muslim world from various countries and faiths.

It was reasonable for some, myself included to guess that his hat would go in to the ring when a suitable by election turned up, by suitable I mean a constituency containing large numbers of those listed above, that turned out to be Bradford. I’m afraid it was no more noble than that. This does not make him unique and for my part I admire his commitment particularly to Palestine, which I share. The fact that he is a shameless self publicist and narcissist is a side issue.

Parts of my Irish family would describe him thus, “he’s a terrible man and a complete ‘gobshite’ but he’s our ‘gobshite’ “

Hello, Councillor. I admire your commitment to Palestinian rights. What's your opinion on the hundreds of gay Palestinian men who flee to Israel to avoid persecution by religious bigots? Are they turncoats?

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

I have been a supporter of Palestine for 40 years and I’m not aware of this.

Palestinians are not perfect and they have some rather nasty fundamentalists among them. Where did this come from?

Did you hear about the young men who were burned at the stake on one of the northern Scottish Islands because they were gay? A bloke in the pub told me about it.

This bloke in the pub, the one who told you about burning lads at the stake, would this be the same guy who told you about Churchill gassing the Welsh?

Ach well. No cause is uncompromised, is it? I suppose everything attracts it's share of nutters and opportunists, and unthinking dogmatists. What do you think?

Never having been a nutter, opportunist or unthinking dogmatist I’m not really sure, are you speaking from experience?

Perhaps you ought to tell Galloway that.

No that was the guy I met in the queue at the checkout counter. And the drunken old inbred moron didn’t gas the miners anyway he suggested it and the cabinet voted it down.

Councillor, we were getting on so well, then you go and censor my post on Gorgeous George.

I showed my comment to my neighbour, Mr Dhand, explaining that you'd binned it.He called you a 'po-faced, humourless tosspot,' and who am I to disagree.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

I assume since you included Mr. Dhand by name that he is one of ‘those’ you refer to when you say “we let em in” if that’s the case please tell him from me that I don’t allow racism and you can add that he is a f****g uncle Tom and a tosspot who should get off his knees and stop laughing at whitey’s racist language.

Now you've gone all Nuremburg Rally on me... calm down dear.

And taking a quote out of context is the last refuge of a loser.

Nothing taken out of context. If it looks like racism, smells like racism and sounds like racism it’s usually etc.

Byeck said...

Kelly @ 2.39
Councillor, having had time to digest your reply...Honestly, you can't say things like this, you really can't. Rio MacFerdinand got defenestrated for much milder phrases.

Dont suppose you've watched Citizen Khan?

Bit patronising for you to decide what someone from another ethnic group ought to be offended at, is it not?

ps-I'm not a racist. just to head you off-not that you're predictable or anything....

Why so? Did you read what he said about me?

”Honestly, you can't say things like this, you really can't”
Oh but I can, I do, and I will. I don’t bother with etiquette when dealing with racists.

“Dont suppose you've watched Citizen Khan?”

Councillor, explain how Anon could have read what I said about you, when you binned my post?

I worry about you, you dear old thing, I really do.

Byeck said... Wednesday, September 05, 2012 2:44:00 PM.

Is it a language thing I wonder, I see what you mean, what I meant was “did you see what he wrote? Well if you had you would understand” etc.

Terry did i read correctly that you were defending Cameron's corner on the Herald...Playing the SNP like a fish ?

Really is is so low at Labour HQ that you are jumping in to defend the Tories now....i hope i am wrong. The great Kelly defending a Tory PM ?

OK, you're not publishing my post, but to sum up for your readers: On the one hand we have a Scottish Blogger, using the words Uncle Tom, Whitey and 'Get off your knees,' saying my post is racist.
On the other, we have Mr Dhand, from Pakistan, saying it isn't.
Dont think the jury will be out long on this one, Councillor.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Byeck said...Thursday, September 06, 2012 6:45:00 PM

The only way the Jury will come down on your side is if they take my words out of context as you have rather predictably done here.

Iain Kelly said...

Why does anyone argue with this idiot councillor?
He loves the sound of his own voice, always makes sure he has the last word and is the epitome of ignorant arrogance.
His arguments are puerile, his tone condescending.
All in all, not worth the time of day.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Iain.

I’m delighted to note that you are one of my readers and also pleased that you have taken the trouble to write but; I would prefer you to tackle the opinions that I express, if you can that is.
