SAVE THE BADGERS WITH A SIGNATURE

If like me you are a lover of wildlife and nature you might want to consider signing a petition to try to halt the proposed Badger cull by the Tory/Libdem Government. The petition has been set up by the Labour Party and can be found by contacting (www.campaignengineroom.org.uk) the Government have decided to go ahead with this despite public opinion and the scientific community being opposed to it.

The Government say that a cull will reduce the incidence of Bovine TB in cattle but the scientific evidence says it won't and could even increase the disease as badgers move away from areas where they are being culled. A previous 10 year scientific study concluded that culling badgers is not likely to reduce the numbers contracting Bovine TB and that a long term scientific approach is the best way forward. The petition in line with scientific thinking on this calls for a proper vaccination programme and better management of cattle movements. The quick knee jerk reaction to the problem here is the wrong way forward and we should do what we can to protect one of the country's most recognisable and best loved creatures.

Oh dear, Councillor, doesn't seem to be too much support here for your little black and white furry friends. Down here in the west country we run over as many of them as possible. You can see the bodies everywhere on verges. I'm thinking of having some stickies made with a badger's face on them so that I can stick them on the side of my car every time I hit one, like the old fighter pilots used to do in the war!

You are a real tough guy David and no mistake, anyone who goes up against a badger protected only by a car is a true British hero.

Nice of you to say so, but, well, modesty forbids, and all that!

Not at all, it’s reassuring to know that this great country still breeds the kind of man who does not hesitate to run a dangerous badger over in his car with no consideration for his own personal safety, you are far too modest.

Hello Terry
Absolutely sickened by the comments
made by David Duff. How can people
think like that. I really do pity
their sick minds.
Keep up the good work, Terry.
Ian.

Mr. Duff is a sad individual I print his posts because I want people to see what some people in our society are like and to ridicule his repellent views. Mr. Duff lives by the motto “well it might be rubbish but by jingo at least its good old British rubbish”
