THE PEOPLE v THE SNP - THE BATTLE FOR SOUTH PRIMARY SCHOOL RUMBLES ON.

I want to remind everyone who reads this blog that the Campaign to Save South Primary School continues to thunder on. The parents staff and children are bloodied but unbowed, believing in the justice of their cause, and with courage and indomitable spirit they continue to carry the "David V Goliath" battle forward against the heartless SNP led administration and the cold indifference of the council officers.

The latest affront by the Education Dept. of Renfrewshire Council is to refuse the children and parents permission to put on a show of the children's work and achievements. I ask again what are they afraid of ? Could it be that the level of achievement is such that it would undermine their callous attempts to close the school and scatter the children around like so many unwanted orphans, how could they be so cruel? little children being forced apart from their friends at such a tender age, it can't be good for their education and it can't be good for their morale.

If I were an education officer I would be concerned about the potential damage which could easily be done to these kids, no one at Renfrewshire Council seems concerned about that, these bean counters do however have every last penny counted when it comes to financial savings from closure, very very sad, Scotland's Party, the SNP eh ? this is them dealing with Scotland's Children.

Terry, you missed the top hat, cudgel and waifs being thrown out into a winter street, all for asking for some more gruel. Bottle washing is too good for em. Won't someone please think of the children.

Remind me, my ears have waxed up, how many schools did Labour shut again and why?

I wonder if somewhere on Cllr Mackays wall he has a little thought for the day..."Can we close it? Yes We Can"

Terry:

Is this the first time you have ever linked to anything? Well done. Now can you link to articles proving that Cuba is a democractic paradise?

A typical cold hearted SNP response to children being disadvantaged. You people don’t care a damn about Scottish children, you are a treacherous bunch of con artists.

Schools close all the time but, would Labour close South Primary? no,would Labour give top Council Officers a rise of £11,500 a year while closing this primary ? no. That’s the SNP’s problem and the people are on to them.

It’s more like “If the council officer tells me to close it, yes I will”

I have linked to things before but, only by copying someone else’s link as I did here.

Talking about Cuba, El Commandante is still running rings round the Yanks.

He drove them to distraction by staying out of the Presidential Election until it was too late carry any damaging stories, he then endorsed Obama.

Clearly still a move ahead of them, even at his age and with his health.

long live Fidel and the Revolution.

I'm the author of that post finds it amusing. I'm glad it's a source of humour that a school can be closed without so much as a mention of the children who attend the school. I'm glad that someone finds it remotely funny that the power-crazy administration have made cutting public services something of a priority in order to save money and claim some kind of bizarre accolade. I know showing consideration to anything other than yourself or money is a new concept to you people, but maybe you should try it. You never know, you might like it (although I doubt that very much)

Terry,
I took the kids to the switch on of the lights, all was happy and gay, then we spotted Mrs Cameron, butcher of the South School, it really turned out stomachs, there she was all laughing and smiling with her kids, all the while she is happy to put the boot into the staff, kids, parents of the South School.

I just hope that when push comes to shove that the Nat Administration listens to all of us and keeps the school open.

The people who are closing the school are the SNP and these comments to counteract my attacks on my blog are orchestrated by them, don’t be put off by them, people are watching and listening to this issue, that’s why we are seeing these craven comments.

I believe that the SNP administration are feeling the heat on this, you must keep up the pressure.

Cllr. Cameron and the rest of them know that the school should be saved but, have they already made up their minds to close it ?

The decision will be on Dec. 18 08 will they be cruel enough to close your school as a Christmas present ? Knowing them as I do, I wouldn’t put it past them.

Terry,

Even if Cllr Cameron and Co do decide to close the school on Dec 18, I hope that the Campaigners realise that they can take this to a higher level, as others have done previously and been successful. They have a very strong case to do so.

Good luck to all concerned.

The South School Campaigners are as good as any I’ve seen in all my years in politics, if this had been a fight between them and the SNP council the referee would have stopped it by now to save the SNP council further punishment, make no mistake about it, they have already won the moral and popular argument. I don’t however detect much sympathy in Cllr. Cameron or the officials, quite the opposite.

Are you looking for a retirement bolt-hole?

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

I would love to retire to Cuba but I would miss my family, friends, football etc. maybe I can manage a visit if I can figure a way of getting there without flying.

...'without flying'?
Is that because you are too fat to fit into a seat?

I wouldn't put it past them either. They are going to look spectacularly stupid when they do it though, seeing as we quite literally shot their argumetns to pieces.
What is really sad is that they are too stupid to see that the Council officers are merely seeing how far they can push the SNP to do as they say.
As a businesswoman, if someone presented me with a proposal as flimsy and frankly shoddy as the proposal presented by the Education Department, I'd laugh it off my desk

I like to publish this kind of comment to remind people of what absolute dross there is out there, you will be SNP I take it.

Your comment is spot on and it's encouraging to note that people are aware of exactly what is going on here.

We have an inexperienced and incompetent SNP council who not only awarded their senior officers a rise of £11,00 per year but are also cutting and slashing everything that the officers tell them to.
