SPORTS AND FORECASTS !

I predicted that France would beat Scotland home and away, which tells you that even experts like me can get it wrong. I would wager though that the French would love to play the game again tonight, that doesn't take away the enormity of the two results and I am happy to see the emergence of some good players at this level for Scotland, very well done to them and especially to McFadden two spectacular goals in succession, if we overlook the French goalie waving at the ball.

Young McFadden only has to keep doing this on a regular basis to be called a great player, Bobby Charlton did this with monotonous regularity so why can't young James ?

I am not the world's greatest cricket fan but, I watched India play Pakistan in a twenty over game from South Africa. Being only twenty overs and between the Celtic and Rangers of cricket it was incredible, these guys were smashing the ball out of the park regularly and heroics were being performed in the field by men throwing themselves at the ball in a very dangerous way.

We all remember the great snooker final between Davis and Taylor where it incredibly came down to the last black ball out of 35 frames well, this came down to Pakistan needing one run from the last ball to win, unbelievable but true the batsman predictably lashed out and started running and was run out, the game was tied and they went to a 'bowl out' no I've never heard of it either, five bowls each from five different players at an unguarded wicket.

Just like a penalty shoot out, Pakistan missed four out of five, victory to India, exciting or what ? I must watch more of this. 'A bumping pitch and a blinding light, an hour to play and the last man' this is a bit different, but still brilliant.

What you actually said was that France will beat North Britain home and away.

Well done to Scotland.

I was not able to watch the Indo-Pak patch but I was looking at the BBC live text and even that was gripping. Who do you think will win the tournament? I reckon Sri Lanka will take home whatever sort of trophy it is.

Terry,

Hope you can help to clear up a little argument for me!

When someone is expelled from the Labour Party (particularly expelled from representing the Labour party on any level).

How do they manage to get back in.

Is there a time spell over expulsions which says that they have been rehabilitated, or do Labour just let anyone back in whatever they have done.

Would like to know the party policy on this.

Hope you can help.

Councillor
Pakistan vs India.

Ah yes, cricket. A relic of British Imperialism, along with racial harmony, a legal system, freedom of religion and an incorruptible Civil Service.

Well....they had all of these until we were kicked out, then things went belly-up and they started killing each other much more effectively than we ever did.

It seems to me sad, that only cricket remains of that Imperial legacy, but perhaps your view is that, compared to Freedom, the other things aren't so important.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

anon - I haven't watched any rugby !

What's a face book ?

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

anon - expulsions ? I suggest you write to the Labour party with that inquiry.

Ohhhhhhhhhh....a cloud just lifted. I suddenly got it. All that palaver about RFS and conspiracies and collusion. You thought that he and I got together, he'd mention my wife's illness (which he didn't), I'd thank him for that, and everyone would love me and hate you. Am I getting warm. I do apologise for being so slow, it just never occurred to me. That's why I got so perplexed. Sorry for using this thread, but it hit me so hard, I just used the first thread to hand. Ever thought of writing spy novels? Oh, and sorry to disappoint re: the conspiracy.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Byeck - I assume that you are not referring to the Raj here, if you are you seem to have missed a few things.

Racial harmony ? Tell it to the old drunken crook Churchill.
Legal system ? Tell it to the countless prisoners who have been fitted up by it.
Civil service ? Tell it to the marines.

You clearly miss the 'good old days' when you could avoid the cold by throwing another native on the fire.

Jim Lewis - I bet you feel better now but it just doesn't wash I'm afraid, I know what you were up to and so do lots of people I showed it to, it was crude and pathetic, but certainly not funny, I was on the verge of cutting you out for good because I found it difficult to deal with people who would stoop to that level, you should consider politics or red top journalism, you're a natural, nothing's sacred is it Jim ?

RfS said...

Jim is quite correct. Indeed, it took until last week that we figured out that I had his old mobile number. And it ignores the fact you have to publish all comments.

Terry,

You are right.

I have now circulated this to several outlets requesting a response

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

RFS - how undignified, you and Jim Lewis have been caught out and can't stop wriggling, if indeed it did take this long to understand it you both must be pretty thick, but you just kept on running away.

'you have to publish comments' you're getting ideas above your station here - I can't think of any subject that I would take orders from the likes of you on.

We clearly have different standards regarding what is acceptable language - we need only look at your previous efforts to note yours or rather your lack of them.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

anon - 'I am right' - about what ?

Why don't you sign up at www.facebook.com? Who knows, you might make some friends on there.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

c4' - you seem familiar with this facebook thing so, if you are an example, I can do without friends like that.

none of that going in cuba obviously.

anon - 'I am right' - about what ?"

Possibly the most sensible thing you've posted. I share your suprise, Terry.

Tell you what Tel. That does it. You don't believe this crap for one minute To suggest that I would cynically use my wife's illness in this way is beyond the pale. I've suffered your snide remarks too long now. You have lied, slithered, backtracked, avoided questions. Frankly it takes aa warped mind to come up with this depth of sleazy sugestion. You will no doubt be pleased, because I am really angry. I would love to meet you face to face to discuss this but I know you won't, ecause you are the coward you accuse others of being. Only a sleaze bag like you could come up with this. Unbelievable.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

anon - clever stuff - the British system stinks - it's corrupt - innocent people are fitted up - bent cops get off with it, right ?

But so what ? at least it's still British.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

guthrie - so that's two of us then.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Jim Lewis - Let me make it clear again, I am positive that this is what you did and I find you and RFS beneath contempt for doing it.

You seem to be saying that you want to meet me face to face ? I think I've heard this from you before, is it meant to be threatening ? if it is then,

This coward can be found quite easily.

Renfrewshire Council Buildings
Cotton Street Paisley. or

105 Greenhill Road
Paisley.

In fact I haven't moved since I first had contact with you. Maybe you should just consider giving this stuff up, you're clearly not coping.

Anonymous said...

Terry, I have never threatened you, although you continue with pathetic innuendo to suggest that I have. By all means quote me. Terry, you are a contemptible human being. I can't quite come up with the words to describe how I feel about this particular issue. I don't give a stuff about what you and your 'friends' believe. I have a higher moral code than that. Morality seem to be something you have no grasp of. In late July, my wife almost died after a seizure. It is beyond belief that someone, even you, might use the misfortune of someone they love more dearly than life itself to score points against a fat, stupid, slimy moron like you. You are beneath contempt. I very rarely get this angry. I and my wife in my opinion are due a very public apology from you. I know it will be a cold day in Hell before it arrives, but you might want to reflect on the accusations you have made. You have my email address I believe. Meanwhile, this will be my last visit to this piece of filth.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Jim Lewis - you have used threatening language before but please don't worry about it's effect on me, it doesn't have one. I regard you as contemptible Jim, you don't occupy any high moral ground either.

Your wife has my every sympathy and you have my contempt for using her and doing it again here,

There are people whom I love more than life itself as well but, I would never ever use them in any way to get the better of an opponent, never !

Perhaps you should consider trying to retain some dignity and tell the truth rather than ask for an apology.

You should have quit a long while ago, as I said it was evident right away that you couldn't cope with what you had started, but that's hardly my fault.

Anonymous said...

Councillor, I have no idea who Jim Lewis is, but your comments on this thread imply that you need psychiatric help. Thank God you no longer sit on the Police Board. Your behaviour, if not from a local councillor, would most likely result in your arrest for breach of the peace.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Anon - Jim Lewis has no cause for complaint, he chose to go down this route and found that he couldn't handle it, his behaviour was despicable, no doubt brought on by his own weaknesses.

It certainly wasn't me who brought us to this juncture and if he wishes to send comments I will print them, if he deals with me in a civilised way I will reciprocate.

If my behaviour on this blog would get me arrested for breach of the peace then there would be an awful lot of bloggers in jail.

If you have read the other bloggers who attack me and think that I am worse than them then you are either stupid or you are a liar.

How should I respond to your accusation that I need psychiatric help ? Now that's not a very nice thing to say is it ? How's that ?

Anonymous said...

Terry, I didn't mean it as an insult - I genuinely am concerned about the mental health of you, partly for your sake, and partly because you're in a position of power and authority, albeit a limited one. You are a classic example of someone who starts out with a strong conscience, and adapts an extreme ideology with the intention of making the world a better place. Gradually, however, the consience is eroded by the ideology. I was suggesting that you needed psychological help to get from that position to a more balanced, healthy attitude - and I beleive it can be done.

Actually, I don't think most bloggers would basically say the equivalent of "come on and have a go, if you think you're hard enough", which was my interpretation of your decision to post your full home/council address.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Anonymous - leaving aside the drivel in your first para. The guy we are referring to has used 'tough guy language' with me before and this not the first time I have reminded him that I am not difficult to find.

I have not published my contact details because of the comments you refer to they have been there all along.
