WE NOW HAVE A SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT MINISTER WHO THINKS SHE CAN TELL THE BANK OF ENGLAND WHAT TO DO IF SCOTLAND IS INDEPENDENT! HONESTLY!

The Independence campaign twitter site launched after their fiasco of a launch last week has been forced to concede that they have been caught out again. This time they have been 'at it' by counting every visitor to the site as a supporter without asking their permission, tawdry, sleazy, very underhand, very SNP. This is another sign of desperation just like their failed attempt to load the question on the ballot paper, this desperation has also led them to describe people who wouldn't be recognised walking down a Scottish street as "A" List celebrities. Watching them join in singing Caledonia with a rough sleeper who had wandered in with a guitar was reminiscent of what Oscar Wilde (a brilliant man despite not being Scottish) said about the death of little Nell "you would have had to have a heart of stone not to laugh"

The question now is will Nicola Sturgeon be the first to implode and be 'huckled' as they say around these parts in to a rubber room. On her TV appearance the other night when she suggested 'shooting from the hip' that Scotland under independence would be entitled to a seat at the bank of England decision making table, she was subjected to such ridicule and derision from fellow panellists and audience members alike that she was left wearing the expression of the first person in the movie to see the monster, the panic in her eyes suggested that she could hear the white coats flapping. These occasions will become more and more common as the debate goes on and the SNP are forced to answer questions. They are already beginning to unravel. The hapless wee Nicola may well get some 'gardening leave' to try to avoid any more embarrassing fiascos. What about MacAskill, or Alex Neil, or 'Murmuring John Swinney' if he can be found? A huge pool of talent right?

They will have to rely maybe on being rescued by "Wan seat Harvie" and "Nae seats Fox" from the Greens and the SSP. Let's face it try as they might these two will never replace "Screaming Lord Sutch" Even with two and a half years to go I would say 'the game's a bogie, the baw's broke' but at least it will be two and a half years of jolly good fun. Reducing bullies to quivering wrecks is always worth doing.

THE FIGHT GOES ON FOR SOCIALISM COMRADES.

Thursday May 17^Th. 20 12 to Renfrewshire Council for the first session of the new labour Administration which kicked off at 09:00 AM. I found myself back at my desk in the Labour rooms at 10.30 AM something which I suspect will not happen again for the duration of the administration. The conduct of the meeting was absolutely fine and for that I have to congratulate Cllr. B Lawson the SNP leader who led polite applause by his councillors as senior positions like Provost and Council Leader were taken up by labour's Ann Hall for the former post and Labour's Mark Macmillan for the latter. This was a significant change from other first council meetings where Labour had been successful; some of the behaviour at these events was quite outrageous; particularly by the SNP. Thankfully the main culprits responsible are no longer SNP councillors, some through retirement and others sadly through having passed away. Perhaps Cllr. Lawson intends to run a disciplined group let's hope so. Better behaviour would apart from anything else save the council tax payers a lot of money. Years ago I investigated the cost of running a full council meeting and was told that a ball park figure would be approx. £600 an hour that was about 10 years ago. We regularly had meetings which went on for hours longer than they had to because of disruptions and spurious motions inspired by the SNP and one or two other malcontents. We must now be diligent and try to avoid this in future; we don't want to go back to incurring unnecessary costs which ran in to tens of thousands of pounds (paid for by you and me) because of the behaviour of some councillors. This is a task for Cllr. B Lawson to attend to.

The chamber was full and the meeting as I said went quickly and mainly amicably, except for a bad tempered intervention by the remaining Libdem councillor the only one left in fact out of all 40 members, the one and only Cllr. Eileen McCartin. I am forced to admit, painful as it is that this woman does not like me, I suspect that this puts me in a very big group indeed; something I will just have to live with. Having been appointed as Convener of the Planning and Economic policy board she moved that I "be not appointed" to this position until I had apologised to her and her 3 former Libdem colleagues in the last council for insults supposedly made about them by me. I will not bore you with the details but I can say that I received a quite incomprehensible email demanding apologies from her former Libdem colleague Susan McDonald (on behalf of all 4 she claims?) who retired at the last election. Along with 3 other Libdems she 'helped' to run the council after her party won 4 out of 40 seats at the last election with the lowest share of the votes cast. One of our new Councillors seconded McCartin's motion as a friendly "nice to meet you" gesture and then on hearing her try to speak to the motion abstained on the vote, the vote? the motion was supported by one councillor out of 40 Cllr. McCartin. I think that most folk would expect a period of reflection and even silence from someone who had suffered such a humiliation at the hands of the voters but; her legendary hubris which she wears like a suit of armour appears to be still in place. She wears her Christianity/Catholicism like a cloak despite being the worst example I have ever come across of what a Christian/Catholic should be. Perhaps she will someday reflect on how she has acted over the years and book a week or two in the confessional, despite these obstacles like a good catholic boy I continue to pray for her.

Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to discover perhaps in a couple of years hence that the members of the Libdems who served with the SNP on Renfrewshire Council over the last 5 wretched years have come to terms with this dark part of their lives. They are all just ordinary people after all who were led astray, well at least 3 of them were.

Lot's to be done in the coming years at Renfrewshire Council and it will take strong hearts and strong minds to do it. Our reasons for being in politics and being in the Labour Party and believing in the Socialist cause will sustain us through the coming struggle as it has in the past, as it does now and as it always will – LET'S GO COMRADES – HEIDS DOON AN BOOTS SWINGIN!

RENFREWSHIRE CAN SMILE AGAIN AS THE WRETCHED SNP/LIBDEM MOB SLITHER AWAY TAE THINK AGAIN.

Thank you people of Renfrewshire; the bitter darkness caused by the malcontents of the SNP/Libdems who ran the coalition from hell in Renfrewshire Council is lifting. Once again we can use words like courtesy, honesty and dignity when talking about Renfrewshire Council, the rodents have left the sinking ship. Those cheering loudest are the poorest and most vulnerable who have been targeted by the SNP/Libdems for their vicious cruel cuts, a case of bullies attacking the weakest.

The Leisure Centre doubled nicely as the place to have the count it provided no hiding place for those who were wringing their hands and scowling like extras in a Hammer Horror Movie. Most conspicuous was the great bogus Christian impostor the Libdem Leader Cllr. Eileen McCartin, the meanest most repellent woman I have ever met and by far the least Christian. Following years of bragging and outright nastiness which corroded whatever goodness she might have ever had when she "nursed her wrath to keep it warm" she would by then have terrified Cruella De Ville. This was followed by 5 years of cringing self publicity through positions as Deputy Council Leader and Convener of Social Work (the greatest mismatch ever known) She has now been joyously brought crashing down by the people of Renfrewshire. The pinch faced "kent yer faither" backward hidebound SNP have embarrassed us enough and they got what they deserved as well "the boot" and good riddance to them. I was taught as a cradle Catholic (like McCartin) that God would punish bad people so thank you Lord.

Congratulations to the labour Party strategists who did the planning and number crunching, we ran 22 candidates and won 22 seats and took back control of Renfrewshire Council from the barbarians who had been in control for the past 5 bleak depressing years. It has been a terrible experience for Renfrewshire and a warning as to what can happen when you elect a crowd of single issue zealots backed by Libdem shakedown artists who are on the make and on the take, believing in nothing, standing for less and skulking around with their grubby hands out.

There is only one thing better than beating someone at an election and that is when you have right and justice on your side and when the people you beat are a bunch of unconscionable self serving bullies like the SNP and the Libdems –

***I have been accused by ex Liberal Democrat Cllrs. Dillon and McDonald as well as serving Liberal Democrat Cllr. McCartin of making slanderous remarks against them in this article and they have demanded an explanation and an apology. I have sent an explanation and an apology to ex Cllr. McDonald who wrote to me on behalf of herself and her two colleagues, this has been rejected by them and I am now writing this addition to the article to explain my position.

The Liberal Democrats referred to in this article are those who formed the Coalition Government with the Tories that is now causing so much pain and distress to the most vulnerable members of our communities, not Mr.Dillon, Ms. McDonald and Ms. McCartin. My language describing those Liberal democrats who joined the Tories in Westminster reflects my anger, shared obviously by the electorate and many of their members including notably one of the three Cllr. Dillon who reacted at the time by resigning from the party. Having been made aware of their reaction to the article I eventually looked carefully at it again and following several re-reads concluded that in all fairness I could and should have made this clearer at the time. It simply did not occur to me that they would think I was referring to them when such events In Westminster were decimating their parties support, I was asked for an explanation of my remarks and this is what I did, and I do it again here. The bruising encounter with the electorate which caused such pain to the Liberal Democrats was not the fault of the Liberal Democrats in Renfrewshire it was the fault of their Party leaders and that was who I was referring to.

I then decided to do the right but difficult thing and apologised as requested for this misunderstanding and any distress caused by it. In my 14 years serving on the council I have never accused any Liberal Democrat Councillor indeed any other councillor of any financial impropriety, my disagreements with them are honest and many but I do not consider them to be dishonest. My position remains the same and that is that my apology is genuine and still stands.

Extra charges for old people's wardens. – Rises in school music fees. – Withdrawal of school busses. – Loss of hundreds of teachers jobs. – Loss of classroom assistants. – Worst pupil teacher ratios in Scotland. - Closure of schools. – Closure of libraries. – Closure of swimming pools. – Huge rises in sports facility costs for children causing teams to fold. – Removal of payment of funeral insurance for lowest paid council workers. – Closure of day centres for people with learning difficulties. – Removal of £2. 50 p. a week to people with learning difficulties who worked in these centres. – Removal of transport costs for people who worked in these centres. – Bin uplifts cut from 1 week to 2. – Pensioners annual day trip stopped. – Closure of pensioner's lunch clubs and social clubs through hall cost rises. – 750 council jobs lost causing council services to suffer.

What you see above is only a flavour of what has been done to the people of Renfrewshire by the SNP/Liberal Democrat council coalition, there is lots more and this merciless and constant attack on the most vulnerable people in our society will continue if they are put back in power this Thursday May 3^Rd. 2012 – For the sake of those less fortunate than ourselves as well as Renfrewshire in general do not let this happen, vote them out and vote Labour back in, it's time to restore decent compassionate local council control and Labour will do that.

Before voting you should consider that some people have good cause to celebrate the SNP/ Liberal Democratic coalition which has governed Renfrewshire for the past term. These are the senior officers of Renfrewshire Council who were given a 23% pay rise by the SNP/Liberal Democrat council. You read that right! senior officers were given an annual wage rise which amounted to more than our low paid council workers get for their annual salary. This wage award was made by the same SNP/Liberal Democratic Council who removed death insurance cover from our lowest paid employees. They don't deserve your vote do not give them it! VOTE LABOUR and restore proper caring local government based on the right priorities, Labour Priorities.

During this exchange about the Salmond Murdoch scandal. We witnessed the following gut wrenching exchange. Interviewer to labour leader Johann Lamont, "following recent revelations about Mr. Salmond and Rupert Murdoch, do you consider Mr. Murdoch to be a fit and proper person do give Scottish Government support to?" split second later Ms. Lamont "NO"

Interviewer to SNP Government Deputy Leader Nicola Sturgeon "following these recent revelations about Mr. Salmond and Rupert Murdoch, do you consider Rupert Murdoch to be a fit and proper person to give Scottish Government support to?" Ms. Sturgeon Refused to give an answer. She was asked again, no answer, and again, no answer. Interviewer "I'll take that as a yes then"

Remember that some time after Rupert Murdoch and the obscenity that was the News of the World had admitted hacking the phone of the murdered schoolgirl Millie Dowler, an act beyond understanding to decent people; causing her family unimaginable agony Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond was inviting Murdoch to dinner at Bute House Edinburgh.

Voters think about this man Salmond and the party he leads remember you have to sleep at night.

SALMOND AND MURDOCH – THE END OF THE PIER SHOW – REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR VALUABLES WHEN LEAVING THE THEATRE.

The news breaking tonight reveals that Alex Salmond was sympathetic to the Murdoch bid to take more control of Sky TV. This was stated today at the Leveson Enquiry by James Murdoch during his evidence at the investigation. Politicians and others are now asking the question relating to a possible "quid pro quo" from Murdoch which meant support from the sleazy Murdoch Empire for the equally Sleazy Salmond empire AKA The SNP.

(The wee spiv.) Salmond put on his most outraged expression for the cameras, his synthetic rage was palpable and to this observer quite hilarious if somewhat sinister. Sinister in the sense that this now regular display of what our Jewish friends call 'chutzpah' can only be carried out as often as he does this by someone who's ego and control freakery are out of control. This is the state of mind which Cody Jarret (James Cagney) was in as he fired his gun indiscriminately while on the roof of the massive gasoline tank in the film "White Heat" blowing everything up including himself as he yelled one of the best known lines in cinema, "top of the world ma." Who will wee Eck (The Spiv) take with him?

The question for the Scottish people could hardly be more simple on the one hand are the Scottish people and on the other we have Rupert Murdoch and his pal Alex Salmond, how much more of people like Salmond and Murdoch can we take? and still not a word of dissent from the SNP members and supporters. Time for honesty among the nationalists surely?

It appears that the SNP Scottish Government were aware 4 months ago that 'Doosan Power Systems' had withdrawn plans for 200 jobs in Renfrewshire. In fact the total number of jobs which will not now come to Scotland is 2,700. It appears also that we the Scottish people as well as us here in Renfrewshire are being asked to believe the story that the local SNP led Renfrewshire Council did not know about this because the SNP Scottish Government did not tell the SNP led Renfrewshire Council the bad news and did not tell the rest of Scotland either!

Here is a good question for everyone to consider before voting at the Local Elections coming shortly; DO YOU BELIEVE THIS SNP STORY? Or are you smart enough to work out that the SNP have calculatingly withheld this news to stop it damaging the SNP at the May election? Are you astute enough to spot a lie of omission by a party (the SNP) who are prepared to treat you with scorn?

Before you vote on Thursday May the 3^Rd. Give some thought to the kind of people who knowingly misled you in such a conceited way. The SNP think that the voters will be unable to think straight for the noise of the pipes and drums. Here in Renfrewshire Labour have 19 seats to the SNP's 16, the Libdems 3 and the lone Tory who invariably supports the SNP/Libdem coalition or abstains, hence the SNP/Liberal Democrat Renfrewshire Council Coalition, that's the same Liberal Democrats who are forming the UK Government with the Tories. Cameron, Osborne, Clegg, Cable Etc. would not be destroying the lives of the poor and disadvantaged if it were not for the backing of the craven Liberal Democrats. If ever a political party deserved to be heavily punished it's the Libdems. Led by the wretched Eileen McCartin, losing candidate in 9 Westminster/Holyrood elections and now able to hide behind her pile of lost deposits. Remember that this woman has no interest in anything other than herself let alone politics. Given the chance she will revert to type and brazenly sell herself to the highest bidder, there is a word for such women but my pious Catholic upbringing prevents me from using it.

Remember also that the present savage cuts by the UK Tory/Libdem Government are the same cuts which were described by ex SNP Council leader Derek Mackay "as about right" it's time to get rid of this dishonest and deceitful SNP/Libdem coalition and the best way to do that is to vote labour.

4 months ago the SNP knew that the 2,700 jobs which they claimed the credit for were a lost cause but we are only now finding this out, what this means is that the SNP have allowed the Scottish people to continue believing that these jobs would happen when in actual fact they had taken a completely fraudulent and self serving decision to withhold this bad news to boost their election chances. Is this really the kind of people you want to run Scotland? Have you any concern for Scotland's reputation? If you have you will not vote SNP. We need a Labour Administration now!

CAN THE SNP GET ANY LOWER?

Well then, in my last article I asked "what will the next SNP scandal be" and sure enough today we have it and it's just about as bad as it can get even for the ugly party. Consider the following and remember this is not made up! If only it were for Scotland's sake.

"These catholic nurses are a pair of old money grabbing witches" "RBS staff should be burned" and "British soldiers are nothing but child killers" Quotes from some dangerous National Front Fascist? Some dangerous incarcerated criminal considered a threat to society? NO! They are the words of a candidate running at the local elections on May 3^rd. 2012.

Dear readers I give you the one and only; the author of these sentiments; the man himself, and still; the SNP candidate for a North Lanarkshire Council seat Mr. Lyal Duff. The SNP leader (the wee spiv) Salmond the man who can turn his party from republicanism to monarchy supporting at his whim, without consulting anybody claims he can do nothing about Mr. Duff, it is a matter for the disciplinary committee; he cannot nay; dare not interfere. Oh and no one can tell us when this committee next meets. What a coincidence eh? and further to that no one knows who sits on the committee! At this point a judge would remove his wig scratch his head scowl and order Salmond to be taken below for contempt of court. Fasten up those buttons on the back of your heids, folks Alex (the wee spiv) has spoken. So, WTF are they playing at?

There is no mystery it is SNP deceit, dishonesty, and desperation writ large. The nominations are closed and rather than run without a candidate they (the SNP) are prepared to run with anyone even this low life knuckle dragging bigot. The contempt with which Salmond treats his members and supporters as well as the public is shameful. Would you actually vote for these people? do you have a conscience? do you want Scotland to be known as a land of wide spaces and narrow minds. When will people say enough is enough Mr. Salmond you have gone too far, Scotland deserves better than you and your party, we prefer to hold our heads up in the world than descend in to this dishonest quagmire.
