ANDREW - THE SECRET WEAPON.

Things could hardly be more serious; international tension over the Megrahi affair has everyone worried ; newspaper headlines around the world are dominated by it and diplomatic relations between Libya and Britain have sunk to an unprecedented level.

Can it get worse? well: now a proposed visit to Libya by Prince Andrew; Duke of York is under threat of being called off; the world watches with bated breath; what can possibly happen next I hear you call, let's face it if the wrath of the Duke of York does not force Gadaffi in to line nothing will, "we're aw doomed"

Ah well if you look at the timesonline Megrahi and Libya are going to reveal the truth about who was responsible for the Lockerbie bombing and as he says it was nothing to do with them.

The best news yet if this happens as there are going to be a lot of people burying their heads in shame over this!

Seems Mandelson already had his fingers in the pie.

Dont think Andrew could possibly damage our country more than the Noble Lord, but maybe you think a trade agreement in exchange for freeing a mass murderer is acceptable under a Labour Government!

I favour telling the truth. No matter who it shames.

There is also a rumour going round saying that Mandelson is getting involved because it was actually him who planted the bomb and before that it was him who shot Bambi’s mother.

I’m not thinking about exchanges; I’m just satisfied that we are not holding a dying man in prison.

Another rumour says Lord Mandelson of Mortgages R Us is getting his very own Act of Parliament.

This will allow him to return to the Commons, become Great Leader MK11 and maybe explain to us proles how he went from crying poverty to millionaire status in 10 short years.

Viva NuLabour and God help the country.

Don't worried just forget it.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Are you suggesting that the Govt. should not be allowed to pass bills?

I have no idea how much money he has but I'm getting concerned by your rather unhealthy obsession with him.

Ariel said...

Terry @ 12.07

Kelly, your concern is as nought when compared to mine, should the Noble Lord become obsessed with me.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

Keep your rancid homophobic bigotry to yourself; that’s your last warning.

Ariel said...

The homophobic slur wont wash Kelly.

The Noble Lord should have been sent down. Instead your party made him European Commissioner, gave him a peerage and he is now being touted as Leader-in-Waiting, subject to a change in the law, allowing his return to Parliament

A fitting heir to Blair and Brown, but Attlee would turn in his grave.

Too late you have now made 2 homophobic comments about Mandelson so if it looks and sounds like a rat it is a rat.

I’m not concerned with the opinions of your kind, go and polish your jackboots.

Kelly, the Megrahi business just got better!

Trade was the key. A deal was done with Libya. Straw lied, Mandelson lied, Brown lied and Megrahi, bless him, is now out of intensive care.

And the medical evidence that got him released, was paid for by Libya!

Are you proud of your ethical party, Kelly??

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

I have followed all this closely and I can’t find any instance of Brown, Mandelson or Straw saying they lied or any reference to anyone saying that Libya paid for medical evidence to get him released. You really shouldn’t make accusations like that and remain anonymous; how do you expect anyone to give you any credence? It sounds like you are accusing the Prison Doctor of corruption anyone doing that from a position of anonymity isn’t worth listening to you; are a lying low life or put another way you're a Nat.

Do you reckon that Salmond (the spiv) did any deals when he was involved with the Libyans or is it just Labout you accuse?

Anonymous said...

Dont you get the Sunday papers - or Teletext - in Renfrew, Councillor?

The buck stops with the government Kelly.

Brown, Straw, Mandelson, all said no deal was done. Mandelson went further, he said it was a disgraceful slur to even suggest such a thing.

Labour - Bought and sold for Libyan gold.

The only reference I could find of any length for your accusations was predictably enough The Sunday Telegraph but it doesn’t call anyone a liar it puts it’s own predictable spin on it like you but then they are not anonymous are they.

Brown, Mandelssohn, Straw, Salmond (the spiv) and MacAskill all sing from the same hymn sheet on this one, how did the last two escape your accusations?

Anonymous said...

Terry, are you claiming that Lord Mandelson did not say, in a TV interview (paraphrase) 'To suggest any deal has been done to allow his (Megrahi) release, is disgraceful.'

Anonymous said...

Ok, throw Salmond and MacAskill in as well.

Usually it's the Puppet Masters who gets the blame when things go wrong, not the puppets. Doesn't that rule apply under Labour?

Ariel said...

Shock, horror! Kelly reads the Telegragh.

Sky also have the story of Straw admitting trade was a factor.

But maybe you dont have a satellite dish? In that case, Nick Robinson on the BBC has it as well.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

He may well have done but I don’t believe that he or anyone else released Megrahi for an oil deal, what’s his version of events? You could become famous; the fearless member of Joe Public who ended the career of Mandelson, go for it.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

(Anonymous) 07/09/09
You think there was complicity between Brown and Salmond (the spiv) you are a peculiar person.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

(Ariel) 07/09/09
Now you are just being silly; I Googled the story and got the Telegraph. I watch Sky and all other news channels but I haven’t heard anyone calling Straw or anyone else a liar or accusing anyone of doing a deal for oil to release Megrahi.

Still if you wish for something hard enough you never know so you should keep trying.

Ariel said...

Terry, re Release for Oil. Try Adam Boultons blog. Or Nick Robinson's. Or the Guardian. Or the Mail.Or the Scotsman

I could go on, but you get the picture

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

(Ariel) 18:33
Why don’t you just quote these people calling them liars or accusing them of doing deals over Megrahi for oil surely that won’t be difficult for you.

Ariel said...

Kelly @ 6.57

You're ramblimg, son. Matron late with your medication?

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

(Ariel)
Can you not try a wee bit harder; why won’t you quote them ? you are too easy to knock down; it’s no longer a challenge.

Ariel said...

Kelly @ 10.14

Mandelson (TV interview) 'To suggest a deal was done is disgraceful.' Straw (Later, newspaper interview) 'Trade was a significant factor.'

You're in denial, son, go get help. Must be a Scottish thing - Gordon has the same problem.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

(Ariel) 13:03
“trade was a significant factor” this to you means Jack Straw said an oil deal was done with Libya and that’s why we released Megrahi . a quantum leap indeed; you haven’t given us a quote yet backing up your assertions; because there isn’t one.

Ariel said...

There, there, Terry love. Of course there was no deal. And Uncle Joe Stalin and Kruschev were really Mother Russia's answer to the Krankies. And that nice Lord Mandelson never, ever, told a porky,

Now go and have a nice lie down and nurse will be along with your cocoa, and, if you drink it all up, she'll let you sing 'The Red Flag.'

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

(Ariel) 09/09/09
Not only can you not sustain an argument but your pathetic attempts to disguise the fact with childish humour make you look even weaker, where are the quotes? See; that’s how easy it is.

Ariel said...

Councillor, on the evidence so far, you wouldn't recognise an anti-Labour quote if it jumped out and ravished you.

Suffice to say, that if the Noble Lord Mandelson says it didn't happen, the average man on the Clapham omnibus would immediately take the view that it happened in spades, heralded by whistles and bells.

If your lot were in charge of shooting Bambi's mother, the dear lady would be a damn sight safer than RBS.

Cllr Terry Kelly said...

(Ariel) 11/09/09
That’s 4 attempts to find a quote and 4 blanks.
Yet again you have left the argument not with a bang but with a whimper.
